Today I learned that in Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, the maximum speed that a truck going in reverse can attain is 12.3 Undecillion miles per hour. That's 10^36 MPH, or 18.3 Octillion times the speed of light. At a certain point, the distance traveled as noted by the odometer changes to 1.$ and upon reaching 12.3 Undecillion MPH, the speed also changes to 1.$ and all checkpoints turn green, instantly winning the race. Assuming the observable universe as a sphere with diameter of 92 billion lightyears, that means that this truck travelling at maximum speed could traverse the diameter of the observable universe in under 160 picoseconds. At that point, the kinetic energy contained within the truck would be equivalent to the energy released by a quasar if compressed over one hundred Nonillion years (10^32 years) of uniform production. That means that if you were hit by this truck, it would be like every atom in your body being shot with an individual supermassive black hole cannon fourteen thousand times over (fuzzy calculations there due to probable failure to transmit 100% of the energy to your body, but I have an unknown number of orders in leeway due to calculating energy by the fucking year). I think I have a new favorite godkiller scenario. Hell, at this point I think that this truck is my new favorite superhero. Think about it: in the canon of Big Rigs, the truck (who I will from now on refer to as an anthropomorphous vehicle-themed superhero named Big Rig) has feats rivaling top-tier superheroes: - phasing through literally any obstacle, no matter the density or size. Nothing physical can harm him. - extreme kinetic manipulation, retaining speed no matter how quickly he alters direction, which is instantly. - able to travel so fast that he ascends to godhood and becomes the entire universe, being everywhere and nowhere at the same time. - able to easily withstand the forces of travel at speeds many -illions of times the speed of light and the accretion of the mass of many -illions of times the mass of supermassive black holes - if he were to hit something, he would likely explode the entire universe out of existence I am now officially in the Big Rig fandom. I want to read a Big Rig comic series. I would go out and buy those fucking comics. Thank you based Big Rig.

PC shovelware was so common in 2003. I remember this one game I bought from Target for $10, Midnight Road Warriors. A bare bones racing game with only 3 cars and one track. It wasn't the worst game, but you could get bored quickly.

I think Hong Kong '97 would be an interesting Wha Happun. Unlike most of these games you talk about that are bad because of incompetence on some level (lack of experience, rapid deadlines, studio closures, law suits, publisher interference, etc.) this game was made deliberately with the intent of being the worst possible game ever as a joke but it ultimately ended up becoming this urban legend of gaming by the 2000's.

Now I will say, the game DOES have music. In that, if there's a CD in your disk drive while Big Rigs is running, it will just begin to play music off the disk. Fleetwood Mac and Big Rigs joined in beautiful harmony for one fateful, fearful afternoon as I learned this the hard way.

I'll admit , I wasn't too aware of this history of the "You're the Wiener " game , so all this info will be pretty new to me , this definitely should be a fascinating experience .

Unironically, Cobra Kai: The Legacy Continues slaps. I had to review it and it’s way more fun than it should be.

I would nominate Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. Interplay was desperate for a hit to get them out of the red which led to decisions like a heavy metal soundtrack and that Bawls is the soft drink of choice in Texas in the Fallout universe. Design-wise, the game is a dumpster fire.

Big Rigs is such a legend LOL. Suggestion: Limbo of the Lost! It is absolutely baffling and has tons of stolen assets from Oblivion. Worth checking out

I remember the GameFAQs message board for Big rigs, where everyone pretended that the game was amazing, people called each other BROTTRs and WINNERS all the time, and absolutely demonized Alex Navarro. They had this ongoing mission of getting GameFAQs to accept a positive review for the game because they all got turned down as attempts at trolling (which, let's be honest, most of they were). It was a lot of fun.

Alex Navarro was ahead of his time at GameSpot. In the 2000s, video reviews were really just the audiobook version of the written review, often with some genuinely awkward delivery. His review of "24: The Game" stood out because he insisted it be written, paced, and shot like an episode of the show (complete with a torture sequence). He also had a classic critique of "RoboCob" in which he is shown begging his boss (the indelible Jeff Gerstmann) to take him off the project, begins to slip into insanity, and concludes that you should just buy yourself the DVD of the film and a ham sandwich instead.

Since winter is officially upon us I would like to nominate “Syberia 3” for a future “Wha Happun” episode because that game is so atrocious, both as an adventure game and a sequel to two great games that honestly didn’t need a sequel to begin with, and there are so many technical inconsistencies in the game that are just baffling.

"War Z" is probably the most unfortunate name imaginable for a Ukrainian game.

I remember all the fun around this game and it being the actual "worst game ever." The memes, the cult following, it was all well and good. But then when the floodgates were opened for asset flipped garbage to spill onto Steam and what have you and now a game being this bad is no longer special. You can't even have fun joking about how broken it is because it's just mundane now.

I'm sure it's a little bit outside of what you'd normally cover, but I still think a Wha Happun on the saga that was Myst Online or the Gametap platform in general would be incredible. Classic franchises getting insane spinoffs, episodic gaming right as it was starting to take off, legal emulation and emulators that are in a few cases still in use today, the rebirth of Sam & Max, the aforementioned Myst MMO, and American McGee's Katamari Damacy-meets-Alice clone (it wasn't good) Grimm, wrapped up in a beautiful Ted Turner-shaped bow many years before PS Now, Gamepass or Netflix. Wonderful insanity.

After watching this, I still have no damn clue why we haven’t got a Big Rigs 2. Such a classic truly deserves more love and an epic sequel!
