I told my aunt I was trying out for the rowing team and she sent me a full on Victorian rowing outfit that belonged to some ancestor. It had little straps and was made for someone much smaller than myself otherwise I would have worn it for try outs. Got to live frugal old aunties who keep things thinking they'll come in handy one day!

Just rowed at Henley the other day, somehow managed to win a race. Bedford modern vs Borlase, I was in 5 seat (4th back from the front man) if you want to check it out. I think rowing is definitely a sport that you have to have experience in to fully appreciate, but Henley is most definitely not boring. It’s very relaxing during the day and you get to party and have fun as it draws to a close. I didn’t even know what rowing was until I was in year 9 due to previously going to a state school but I’ve loved it ever since
