The big mac is an interesting sandwich, but not one of my favorites. The middle bun introduces complexity and balance. Where with the double cheeseburger the dominant flavors are beef and cheese, the Big Mac's middle bun is a vehicle for delivering the extra lettuce and extra shot of thousand island. This takes the spotlight away from the meat and cheese, and balances the flavors out, creating a sort of hybrid salad sandwich.

Why does everyone call it 100 island? it isn't thousand island at all. McD's started selling the sauce in little tubs this year and if you get one and taste it side by side with 100 island you will see it's not even close. So much more going on in the big mac sauce.

Hook, line and sinker! This review was well worth re-doing as I'm sure, even 20 years from now, you will not have any desire to update THIS review due to unsatisfactory production or inaccurate coverage. Today, the famous Big Mac has been tackled from top to bottom with no obvious need for improvements!

The McDonald's nearest to me has the friendliest employees. I generally am greeted at the ordering screen by a "What you want," or a "Yeah." When i pull up to the window it is usually the same black girl that is always working drive-through window. She hands me the bag, says "Here," closes the window, and then disappears. The friendliness of the employees at my local McDonald's never fails to impress me.

4:42 Working at a McDonalds, I can tell you the 10:1 meat (cheese burgers/big macs/ McDoubles) is always going to be the freshest. Quarter can be a hit or miss, but usually fresh enough. We know when they are bad and waste them, it's quite obvious. The 6:1 meat that comes on the Mac Jr. and Grand Mac, just forget it. They are rarely ordered so it's either going to be cook to order, or in most cases, it's gonna be an hour or two old. Possibly even older.

over the 17 years ive been alive, ive never had a big mac. its 3am right now, and i was like “ive never had a big mac, imma go buy one tmrw” to get an idea of what was in store for me, i looked up the big mac and i immediately clicked his video when i saw who it was lmao. i wanted to say it made me really happy when you said “to the few people who have never had a big mac before, im doing this for you.” idk why i felt the way i did, but thank you, my joy is immeasurable and my day was made.

ReviewBrah- I quite enjoy the way you 'frame' the restaurant and it's logo in your window when you do reviews form the car. Not sure if it intentional, but theres is quite often a green screen esque shot of the restaurant in frame. Keep up the honest work

TheReportOfTheWeek is one of my favorite sources for classic fast food item food reviews (my favorite guilty pleasure) The guy who does the videos/reviews is pretty entertaining, and also provides a pretty accurate description of subject matter (i.e. Big Mac in this case)

"I don't know why people like sesame seed buns so much. I really don't get it. All the sesame seeds do is get everywhere. They make a real big mess of everything and they just slide off. I mean, they get all over your table, they get on your pants, they get in your car. They don't really have any effect on the taste either. It's just decorative, really. It's like you can say, "I really taste those sesame seeds, ya'know!" As corny as this sounds, comments like this are why you have the best food review on youtube. It's all about that subtle humor and paying attention to the little details!

Shredded lettuce and diced onions are dumb. Who likes that shit? Who wants to bite into crunchy pieces of stale lettuce that fall out from all sides of the sandwich, or eat tiny onion squares that feel like a toddler threw up in your mouth? Just give me a single slice of a nice soft leaf, and either slice the onions or don't include them at all.
