Hi Rosa! Can you elaborate more on your first three months of working straight out of your CLS program? I’m finishing mine soon and will be applying for jobs prior to my certification. How was your experience at your first job working as a fresh CLS? I feel like I still have a lot to learn and would like some reassurance! TYIA!

Hi Rosa! Just found your channel and I've been binge watching your videos lol😍 After watching your MLS videos, I was wondering if having a BS (4yr degree) in a different area such as health care Admin. Can you still apply and get hired as a MLS? I am really interested to know. Love your videos 💛

hi i’m interested in majoring in MLS! :) i was wondering if you’re required to learn how to draw blood? i have a major fear of needles and i would also not want to draw blood 😖

Hi there! I did have to learn how to draw blood once I started working. As a student in my program it was optional and during clinicals I did not have to. There were some students whose sites did require them to draw blood. If that is a big concern for you, once you are in the program find sites that do not require you to draw blood. It's not as common for MLS to draw blood but it is still a possibility.

Hi Rosa! I'm a new subscriber. I want to know where did you study? I going to apply to Uconn this year, but I want to know about more universities in Connecticut or in other states. I finished my baccalaureate in Biology but I want to do a post-baccalaureate certificate in medical laboratory science.

Try to get a job as a phlebotomist or a laboratory assistant that should definitely help you out.

I never had any issues I did have them once while I was in clinicals as well and all I got was a comment on it they never said I had to take them off. As long as you can still do your work there should be no issues.

As a medical laboratory technology what you need to buy

Great question! I would say it depends on the lab. Some provide scrubs while others you need to buy your own. I would for sure buy pens and a small pocket notebook.
