There’s nothing wrong with changing careers. I have a bachelors in Nursing and bedside is something I didn’t want to do for years . I’m thinking about doing case management but right now I’m taking my time to really think about what I would like to transition to . I can’t wait to watch your journey. And plus we’re young so there’s nothing wrong with what you’re doing.

Hi there! Looking to be a specimen processor to eventually become an MLT/MLS. I just got my BS in Biomedical Sciences. When you interviewed for this position, did they ask a lot about your education? In other words, did it feel like they were quizzing you about your science background? Trying to prepare for a potential interview and I'm a bit nervous.

I’m sorry you failed it :( I would highly suggest using the books. That’s all I used and I thought it was sufficient for taking the exam. How long have you been a pharmacy technician for? I was one for two years when I took my exam so I had a lot of prior knowledge which helped me during my studying too. Most of it was review but I know that’s not the case for most people. Try out the books and see if that makes a difference for you. Don’t give up we learn and improve through tough times 🤗

I am definitely going to try out the books! I have both booos too when I seen it I go oh my goodness I have those! So I’m definitely going to take advantage of that. I am not a technician at all for my role where I work I am required to be certified as a technician. So basically I just help in pharmacy when needed. Retail to be exact lol. I was really bummed I used the PTCB website Practivr Bank and also KZfaq following Amanda Pharm. When I took my test it was a lot of medication and I’m like woah reality check definitely kicked in. Thank you for reply! Definitely going to use the tips and plan to take it again in two months ☺️

There are a lot of things why people want to study a career as a Scientist Lab Technician, like health issues for example, others can jump to Anesthesiologist schools, remember to be an Anesthesiologist Assistant people don't need to be a nurse, 2 years of a community college degree with a background in Biology, Chemistry or Health Science careers can take you to that career as an Anesthesiologist, keep doing the hard work, that's the only thing for you now, after 2 years you are done and ready to start in the medical field, congratulations

The reason I asked my question is because I've decided as of recently to go back to school to be in the medical field and the best way I have found to do that is to start with phlebotomy and the event that made me decide to go back to school for that is because last September in 2023 I lost my appendix and I spent the entire month of September there starting at the end of August to be exact and I enjoyed watching the nurses do what they did to me.
