Today, I'm reviewing a product by the guys at The Longhairs, called "Hair Ties for Guys." These are specialty hair ties that come four to a package and are available in many different colors and patterns. I purchased these on my own; this is not in any way sponsored or provided by the company.

Dude!! Excellent review! Really appreciate your support and you giving Hair Ties For Guys the nod. Some fantastic points here and definitely working on the subscription option. A lot goes into it as you know and mentioned ;) and just trying to figure it all out.

+The Longhairs I was so pleased with the service, for sure. I think I placed my order on a Thursday, and I got the package (from California to Massachusetts during Christmastime) on Tuesday. The hair ties are excellent, and I can't wait to see what you guys do next!

For anyone coming to this in 2020 and later, they revamped the design. The stitching is even more durable, and can hold up to 100 pounds! I’ve owned a card of these ties for a year now. They’ve lost some elasticity, but still work great for buns and loose Manes.

I like the review! You should definitely do more. Keep up the good work. Your videos have gotten me through 17 months without a haircut. Believe me, I've contemplated cutting it many times. So bravo.

I thought you were very concise with your review. Once the need arises for myself, I'll check them out. Price, as you stated, is a factor for exclusive use of their ties but if they don't damage your hair it's worth it. Happy New Year and congrats in advance for your two year mark!

great review! I agree with you that the price is a little steep, but for the free videos and guidance I'm willing to pay the extra cash. I'm just now overcoming the awkward stage so receiving that weekly email definitely keeps me motivated. Just got done ordering the kokomos and the up all nighters! Like you said, I'm trying to spread the word myself and get them out there!

I agree with what you had to say about the pricing, but I think I'll give it a try, if they ship to Sweden, that is! ;) I am so glad that you're channel is growing. It's a strange little channel I have (puppets and cooking and long haired stuff), but it's fun for me, and that's all that counts. Have a wonderful New Year's, and here's to a great 2016!

~Gracie photo bombs are the best! ~I have fine hair, but lots off it too. It's always hard to explain to people. ~I think the hair ties you showed are perfect for guys and gals. I tend to use the plastic clips more than ties. I want to try those 'ribbon' looking ones that don't wrap around, but slide tight (I know I'm totally botching the explanation). ~WAHOO for your one year of YT hair videos!!!

Hey Patrick great review video; very persuasive. Was just wanting to say that I am working on a 730 day hair growth time lapse now that I have the right equipment for it (it's already really long to start with) and when it is done I was wondering would consider featuring it on your channel!? Also I would like you to do a hair vid on the 'inversion method' :)

+zak parkin Hi, thanks! I don't know how I'd feature someone else's video, but I'd be happy to watch it. I don't really believe the "inversion method" does anything much, but I'll take another look into whatever research there is out there about it and report back if I find anything of note.

I finally cut off my sideburns, because they were so difficult to keep even, but when I had them, I would trim them down with just a pair of scissors. To try to keep them neat, I would just do a lot of comparing on either side, but they did get very uneven while I had them.

Ah.. Finally something that looks good and probably feels good. You're right about the price, over here, its close to 50 after converting and those are very very expensive for hair ties. We can get a good meal for 12 to 17, sometimes cheaper. Hmm... Might get some and keep them well as a long term investment.. But yeah, subscription would be really great. Thanks for reviewing.

I would appreciate more dark patterns. the current patterns dont fit my style.

That is great feedback. They would probably be happy to hear that. I think dark patterns would be a great thing for guys who like some pattern, but don't necessarily want something too in-your face.

+xingcat they could bring out versions for formal occasions. dark grey, black, brown, dark green, dark blue, navy etc. I would be able to wear them with black-tie, a suit, sportsjacket or just casual clothing. patterns in these colours should be settle and in matching colours. hair-ties for business-guys basically.

Stígandr Järkersson That sounds fantastic. I would definitely go on their website and write to them about that. They are really easy to talk to. They've been incredibly supportive of my little videos and reach out every once in a while, so they'd definitely take your ideas seriously.

+Monica Mosier This is 100% on my iPhone. I have a professional light that I use, which I think makes the difference, and I'm about an inch and a half away from the microphone and I talk loud, LOL. I am hoping to get a "real" camera (a DSLR) but I want to make sure I can get a whole setup (camera, microphone, etc.) before I take the plunge.

+Sapitomuerto II I got no trims at all during the past 2 years. My hair is many different lengths, it all just blends together well, so you can't tell too much.

I am easy when it comes to haircuts. I say to cut it all to one length, no layers. My hair doesn't need any more attention than that, really.

Here in Denmark we have lots of hair tie blue, black brown gray you name it so men and women can use without looking weird....

I just got a set and they do not stretch enough to do 3 twists around . I do not have really curly or wavy hair. it is straight and fine texture thick hair half way down my back. Sorry to small. But I do have a hard time putting it in a tail and a Hi ball thing! For get it! I can't do it. I am all thumbs.

+Tee J Ah, I'm sorry they didn't work out for you. I don't find the issue with only being able to turn it twice a problem, but my hair is really thick, so two turns works really nicely, if a little bit loose.

I have thick hair too, thick curly hair and I don't think those would work for me. And I don't really need fancy hairties. Those "Goody" basic hairties may wear out, but they are cheap enough for me to just repurchase.

+Eagle Eye Gordon These are definitely an extravagance, and I will probably only wear them when I'm feeling like something a bit fancier (I have so many packages of Goody/Scunchi hair ties, I can't tell you). I really do like the fact that this company is reaching out to men specifically and trying to cater to their needs, but I do understand if that's not for the everyday user. Thanks for watching!!

weirdly the subject how men have been ignored. Men don't get to have color, we do get (camoflage, gray, blue, black, brown and maybe maroon!) I wear turqoise, red, orange bright blue. In the womens aisle hair ties? No! This a peculiar aspect of a mens movement. I literally had to go womens clothing XL to find a turtle that had any color. My girl friend saw what this is like-its like we don't exist those of us who are not trying to fit into the male death culture,(die at work, battle or high risk behavior) life enhancing males no there is no model except the firemen.
