It's finally springtime - the perfect occasion not only for spring cleaning but also for mental spring cleaning! Here are four steps - decluttering, cleaning, organising, and decorating - to help you deep clean your mind for the next season of this year and of your life.
The first step is mental decluttering with a brain dump in order to get your mental load on paper. The second step is mental cleaning by means of a meditation or relaxation practice of your choice to calm that monkey mind. Mental organising comes next to help structure all those brain dump thoughts and break them down into actionable tasks if necessary. The Eisenhower Matrix can be used to distinguish tasks and to-do items according to their different importance and urgency. The final step is mental decorating which stresses the importance of not only emptying and calming the mind but inspiring it with a positive mindset.
