In this Video I show and explain the failure of the 4 PIN Temperature PIN which is a 2 PIN Temp Sensor in NON California Models which do and work exactly the same way as this here.
Further, a first hand look at the malfunctioning EHA Valve and the two rubber hoses on the ICV which have been replaced.

Thanks for the video. I have a 1986 420sel that is also idling rough when cold, and idling high when it’s warm up. I am going to replace the idle control valve & all the rubber hoses. Thanks again.

In addition to the Idle speed control valve, you should replace the OVP relay, mounted on the rear firewall, on the driver's side. My 1991 420SEL was idling dangerously fast, and I researched the problem. I was instructed to replace the OVP, and the idle control valve and hoses. No trouble since!

My OVP is fine. That wax one of the first items we checked thoroughly.

Where do you buy your new OVP relay ? Can you recommend a seller that has it in stock ! Thanks.

HI You do some good work and well explain things, thank you I'M in Australia and for ever trying to find a good source for parts I have W126 300SE 1988 Can you guide me in the right direction for good parts preferably genuine Thank you again if you can help Regard Peter I

I would try the parts department at your local Mercedes Benz Dealership first. I am not sure of other parts distribution has been setup by Mercedes Benz in Australia. Here in the US, some MB dealerships have a separate Website to order Genuine MB parts online.
