Jb weld is good but try going to do plastic welding or put a brass in the middle so it could hold from the button and screw it with little screws thank u for the videos

This is applicable to the second version w124 consoles. The earlier ones are in 2 pieces and come apart differently. If you don’t see the latch by the shifter you should look for a almost invisible joint right at the upward bend. If you have both conditions you have the earlier version. Good videos just don’t need people with the earlier ones breaking the expensive parts. Thanks for the vids.

Hi Andy - I have a Merc s320 1994. It looks like the centre console is the same as the one you are working on in this video. BUT - can I remove the climate control unit without removing the timber surround? I note you say that I will need the radio removal keys for the radio AND the climate control unit but I also note that later models had a more compact CC unit that was the sililar size to the radio, Can you please advise?
