Mercedes-Benz W204 C-Class Radiator Replacement

The radiators on the Mercedes-Benz W204 have been made out of both plastic and metal for several years now. Like any other car they can wear out with time and age. They are also much more susceptible to breaking at the fitting. Unfortunately, if a fitting breaks you need to replace the entire radiator. The unit itself is expensive to replace, so before you buy a new one, pressure test the cooling system first and verify the location of any leaks. It will be easier and cheaper to replace a radiator hose or clamp than replacing the whole radiator.
The radiator on the W204 is not that difficult to replace. There is just a fair amount of stuff that you need to move out of the way to do it. If you take your time and begin by working on a cool car you will be fine.

DO NOT remove the transmission cooling lines with a 25mm wrench! Pry off the black dust cover and remove the tiny spring clip and pull the line out! Easy peasy! If you remove the 25mm nuts, you'll never get them to seal again!

What type of connectors is used where the transmission oil line enters the cooler? I have a leak there, and trying to figure out how much i need to replace/repair

About how much transmission fluid should I expect to see come out from the cooler lines?

Can you add transmission fluid at that same line you disconnect or do you have to do it from the transmission oil pan?

Yea cuz my trans fluid was never changed so they told me a while ago not to get it done. Will this affect my car?

At the pan only.

Depends on the mileage. If over 200k, don't replace. If 100-150 should be OK. To be sure, check the transmission adaptations using a scan tool.

Just fill and top it up when done. No bleeding needed.
