As the saying goes: The devil is in the details. In this case a tiny hole for the left side crankcase ventilation system - love me or leave me……… TLC will do you good here

Thank you for your careful explanitions on this CIS system. Its been too long since I have worked on them, plus I am having a "high idle when it (85 500SEC) warms up. I figured it was the stepper control module. But now I am going to give it a good going over on the areas you touched on.

When I had my 85 380se the cold idle would be just under 2000rpm. Any guesses ?

Idle speed control unit, resolder all connections and check all components WuR can add to this problem and needs to be reubuild
