Another thing you could probably add is teleport canceling. One thing I practice is running toward the ledge, doing the turn around animation so that i end up at the very end of the ledge, then quickly doing a simple tp cancel downwards as fast as i can. This is more optimal than simply rolling to the ledge to tp cancel, which can be telegraphed.

Its just a timing thing. Practice for like 10 min, once you get the timing down its really easy.

Nice vid! What about an in-depth analysis on NAir combos that don't use the final hit-box and how/if opponent DI affects it? I have a general idea on how the hands/feet work, but still don't know how to consistently combo even with Up-Tilt. I would love to figure out how to set up a kill confirm with Up-Smash. I think a lot of Mewtwo mains would benefit too!

There are already videos covering what you're talking about. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ob6mf8xe0bW3img.html is what you're looking for that explains how nair hitboxes and launch angles work. Up tilt only combos into nair at low percent if you hit them when they're in front of you. The first hit of nair will pop then straight up when you fast fall on top of them will and combo into up smash

@@TyphonCH thanks man! I actually had seen that already too, but it looked like it was with a cpu with no DI. I was mostly curious on how opponent DI affects it, and if there's existing knowledge on this. But I appreciate the reply! It's a pain to lab this...

I think he needed to specify whats the range of frames you do have to tap it, like for the shadow ball jump cancel you have 5 frames before landing to cancel it as I know.

Another way to short hop is to press two jump buttons at the same time. I have jump mapped to each shoulder button and press both for short hop and one for full hop, it's way easier.

You have to slide your thumb over the button to short hop, pressing it down fully will almost always give a full hop no matter how fast you do it

When I b reverse shadow ball using the shoulder special and tilt stick, the ball fires right away instead charging. This isn’t ideal because I find it difficult to consistently do this using b special and the left stick, often getting confusion instead. Can anyone help me with this?

You can predict how nair sends them, it sends them away from the middle of m2's body after last hit hits basically

That's because there's already hundreds of videos informing you on fastfalling, shorthopping, turnaround special, b reverses, etc. the guide is specific to mewtwo drills only, so it makes sense to tell people to go learn beginner tech that the same for all characters and then come back.

I'm no expert but I think b reverse can be flipped around instantly, like as soon as it starts you'll be flipped the opposite direction. Unlike turning around warlock punch which actually goes through a turnaround animation. In summary: b reverse instantly flips you 180

I found out that mewtwo is overpowered because if you are fast enough you can use disable then charge up your move on A. The one where you move your stick forward and hold A. If you can do it fast enough you can get an immediate OHKO.

For beginners he's up there IMO, without some advanced techs you'll be floating helplessly and missing advantages. Mind you, he didn't say THE most demanding. But compared to some characters that can be picked up and played with only knowledge of basic, universal neutral play to decent effect he's a bit more advanced. I think complete beginners would have a harder time with him. I'm no expert however lol so grain of salt and all.
