It was a charity event to raise awareness for Alzheimer's Disease so the audience probably already forgot the setup to the joke which confused them once the punchline hits. jk. But it was for a charity though so those audiences tend to be a bit different from a regular comedy club audience.

I do agree that there can be a double standard. Like the Jada Pinkett Smith thing. She preyed on a mentally ill man and used him for sex to "fix" herself. If a man did that the outrage would be much more aggressive. Jada is a predator. Period. She should be treated as such. Predatory behavior is predatory behavior. I'll get off my soapbox now....

Last year just about at this time same thing happened. Difference is he was buying drinks for me and my gf😂😂 Well he thought we weren't dating. Later that night around 4am he offers her his wallet and car keys and says he wants to take me to the hotel next door for 30 minutes. I wanted to get the wallet and leave with him but we were in China so we were scared of getting arrested. Anyway, we drank top shelf booze all night and made a new friend. My gaydar was off coz I didn't even notice it until late into the night. When we told him we were dating I literally saw him die inside. Shit was hilarious AF.
