I agree. AI has so many downsides. Elon Musk and others have said in the not distant future it has the potential to replace most of the jobs. Unfortunately, models and actors are some of the first this can happen with. We should have the right to know when someone or something is real or not.

I also feel our laws need to catch up with our growing technology. I don't think it should be legal to use AI to simulate anyone's face/body at all unless you have prior consent to using it and there also needs to be consent to whatever "editing" they may do to your likeness. I know this may sound really strict, but because the laws around using AI are so lax, we get stuff like this or deepfakes in porn, etc. There really needs to be stricter laws with AI voices as well. This stuff can ruin people's lives and has. The technology is only getting better too, which makes it even scarier. I understand it can be beneficial, but there are always going to be people who will abuse something just because they can, and when there's no real laws to hold them accountable, it makes it even easier to do so and get away with it.

I hope she does. But fashion industry is notorious for being really backward. It has never really gotten progressive, despite them shoving performative inclusivity campaigns at our faces. So even though she is in the right, it's most likely that they would side with him or blacklist her because they usually want no-name models that won't overshadow their clothes/brands unless the model already has made a name through connections (like most nepobaby models). And their beauty standards are so Eurocentricly white (unless they can capitalise on "exoticness"), I bet some designers would "understand" him

Very good point, I don't know why more people don't find the entire concept morally reprehensible. Also people claim to want credit to go to the right people and stealing/ taking credit for others work is looked down upon, yet that is basically what a lot of AI art is.

@@NotAnotherKuromi for example, sometimes designers need to try and fit their designs to the models for a photoshoot. Models told me when they were doing those testings, the designers touched their private parts in a sexual way. A way of abuse

Especially when starting out doing test shoots, “you’re gonna have to be nude anyway might as well get naked in front of me now” . and the amount of no name photographers that say they will make you famous by working with them 😭 shout out to all the non creepy photogs and people I’ve worked with 🎉

There was a clip of the lady in the new Disney Snow White film which went viral and people were talking about the director touching her without consent but it was moving her by the shoulders to show her marks on set infront of everyone, so I like to make sure. I also think it is good to be explicit so others understand the gravity of the situation. Unfornutly I have heard similar stories and also of photographers too. I believe more models need to be prepared for the harsh reality so they can better protect themselves and always accompany minors! And people need to not let their guard down around somone who is famous/sucsessful because that just means they have power and can more eaisly cover up theor abuse and scilence pelple, not that they are morally good people.

As someone who has done a lot of unpaid modelling work pre-AI, I can't imagine missing out on exposure for all the time and energy you invested. The point is to have your face on a designer or photographer's portfolio. Her face getting removed is exploitative.
