I don't think I'd mind them wearing it home either because maybe they just forgot to return it or didn't want to be cold on the way home so it's really no big deal. I'm on girl ones side. I had a "friend" like girl two in highschool. She would have no interest in a guy until I did and that got old pretty quick. I got to where I would just say a guys name and the "friend" would go out of her way to have sex with them. She was kinda obsessed with it and for me that was creepy. I’m totally with you like whenever my friends have partners or even when I meet a couple I make sure to mostly engage with the girl or at the very least to never make her feel excluded simply out of respect for their relationship (even if I knew the guy first), but at the same time I expect this level of respect back. The sandwich story has some holes in it... 1. Girl 2 said she had to reach out to them so they'd pick up the sandwich, meaning they were probably at the guy's place that night, rather than the place the 2 girls shared. So she did make kind of a to-do about the sandwich since they had to go out of their way and come to the girls' place to get said sandwich (also why Girl 1 remembers it). 2. Why would you buy someone a sandwich if you weren't immediately going to see them to give it to them? Why would you risk it going bad unless you literally wanted them to come when you call? 3. Girl 2 didn't buy the sandwich right after he mounted her tv. She bought the sandwich when they weren't together, so she was thinking about him when he wasn't physically around her. If she wanted to show an expression of gratitude, why not immediately DoorDash a sandwich or order pizza? You don’t plot to show gratitude; you express it when it's felt. Or, if she did happen to forget or was unable to do something for him right after he did it, why not give him a giftcard so he can buy his own sandwich at his leisure rather than making the couple pick it up unless she wanted to see him? Why surprise him at all unless you want to impress him? 4. She personally picked out the sandwich, meaning she picked one she knew he'd like without confirming with him. So she's paying attention to his tastes. Unless he has a super weird or super common favorite sandwich that he always orders, that doesn't seem like the kind of thing you'd "just know" about your friend's bf. 5. She says she'd buy a sandwich for anyone who did her a favor but offered no other examples of her doing so. Maybe some pieces are missing that would explain her logic, but it still seems sus to me.

Borrowing the hoodie initially I think was normal enough, but to continue to wear it after you got home and presumably had access to your own clothes and to take pics is not normal and definitely makes me think it's some kind of weird power play over the other girl. Idk if I can justify the hoodie thing. I have done it, but the only time I wore my bff’s boyfriend’s hoodie is when we went on this hiking trip to what was supposed to be haunted and I was trying to impress my bff’s new friend because she was supposedly bi. Kid you not we got into some shit and next thing you know we were all running from an angry mother cow and I helped the cute new girl over the fence but my pants and the bottom of my shirt got caught on the barbed wire. Angry mother cow charged into me, but thankfully my body was over the fence enough to where I flipped over and didn’t take as much damage, but because of the barbed wire I didn’t have much clothes on and I lost my shoe. So he gave me his hoodie to cover up. After all was said and done and we dropped off the cute girl back at home. I asked both of them if I looked remotely cool. Both my best friend and her boyfriend said absolutely not and they were laughing all the way back to my house. I was dropped off at home scratched, bruised, sore, half naked and humiliated. Best know I gave back the Hoodie because I didn’t want any reminder of blowing my shot with the prettiest girl I ever met(even though that one lonely converse remains in my closet to this day). I also don’t think the groundskeeper of that land frequents that spot a lot. Some of the torn remains of my clothes are still hanging there to this day. This happened in High School.😅

One of my oldest friends pressured me for details about my sex life with my now husband, and when I finally caved and told her he was good in bed, she said she was "going to have to try to steal him." My stomach dropped. He's the only person I've ever dated, and we met when we were 21. She knew how bad I felt about not dating in high school and most of college, so for her to make that joke made me feel sick. That was definitely one of the nails in the coffin of our friendship. I think a lot of this stuff with girl 2 is “plausible deniability” bs where people know what they are doing but they can always say “well I didn’t mean that. You took it wrong” rather than actually being truly considerate of their friends and relationships etc. I’m someone that people usually find pretty. I get told this all the time. At this point when I meet new people I know they will probably make it clear they think so. It’s just what happens. I also usually end up “getting along” with my friends partners etc. but I also think it’s kind of my responsibility to, to the best of my ability, make sure my friends feel safe and comfortable when I’m around and not like I have some weird ulterior motives. I wasn’t born yesterday. I know when something is going to seem… off. I will intentionally downplay any type of thing that could be read as flirtatious on my part. The issue to me is that plausible deniability is a trash person thing to rely on and it isn’t a good way to maintain trust and be a safe, affirming, enjoyable friend who people feel has their back. that is the problem to me. If my friends boyfriend is inappropriate or flirty with me, I want it to be ABSOLUTELY CLEAR that I did everything I could to shut it down and also I don’t take kindly to this bf betraying my friends trust and he won’t get further with me. And I just think it’s important to have personal integrity. Like sure, some of what girl 1 says could seem paranoid, but I don’t ever want to make my friends feel paranoid?? To me, part of being a good friend is avoiding bringing out the insecurities your friends might have when you know you are able to because there’s vulnerability in friendship and closeness.
