Maybe He hasn't responded Because None Of you Have Done any Research!! Mattnj Has Been Designing this Generator and Discussing it On a Forum. Even I have Been There and Studied his work! How bout using some initiative and doing some heavy google-ing if you REALLY want to make one! Good Work Mattnj, I hope you Two Enjoy The Generator :)

Needs a throttle governor so it can hold revs as electrics load varies which is proportional to the braking effect of the alternator on the engine, more load needs more throttle but not so much it over speeds the alternator - a generator has one but the GX has no governor on it so he needs to make one - if you look at his videos you see he has made a system to do that with a PIC chip to a servo to control throttle plate - just not quite finished and looks like it needs an RPM sensor input to provide the feedback control for the PIC chip so it ramps throttle up to hold engine speed as load changes - but no more video on it since.

WOW, that is some info and most i don't understand i wonder if the chap is like me and just made one to charge a flat car battery for about 5 minutes?

LOL You stole my idea. I want to do this as a battery charger for my boat. That engine is too loud. Need something with a bit more torque so it can turn lower RPM's. I was going to use a belt drive as well. Thanks for posting!

I've got a denso 440. Can you give me the specs on where to connect the inverter and the 12v to the alternator? Thank you very much!

Hello. Great project. I have estimated the fuel consumption of 1 l / h with alternator 50A. Can you confirm? Useful for charging batteries with solar panels covered by snow.

fuel consumption Minimum and Max ?

What king of coupling did you use and where did you get it ? Im working on a similar project . Thanks ...

When you connect that to a real 12 volt battery, engine blows up within 5 minutes..

@@mircea415ify have you made one of these? How would you even know?

i want to go to blog and see why the revs are so high and what the hell the switch does and what the hell the lever does and why he is doing all the manipulation... i am curious and i wanna know so ill probly check it out, nice rig, good video, thanks... 16 volts...13volts...switch...rev...lever. volts.switch, rev...lever...switch..LOL
@mwilliamshs6 жыл бұрын
inspectyerbooty when the switch is flipped RPM goes up and voltage goes down so the alternator is being switched off, reducing the load on the engine

Ma come si raffredda l'alternatore? Non ha il controllo automatico del Gas? Cmq molto interessante, complimenti
@MottaDaniele7 жыл бұрын
pknzip si infatti è interessante. Utile per caricare batterie di una baita, rimasta scarica per colpa della neve sui pannelli solari. Ho stimato il consumo a 1l/h e sto aspettando la conferma.
@pknzip7 жыл бұрын
Il consumo dovrebbe essere per un carico 14V 10A 140W sotto i 250cc/h
