Hello friends, this is the 5.2th episode of the tutorial series, we're going to take a look at Sky Vector Departure, Arrival and approach charts. We'll look to the charts side by side along with our flight plan. I'll also point to some additional information you can get from Sky Vector such as Weather, turbulence, wind information and overlays. I also had enough time to create a Discord server link is down below if you have more questions to ask or just want to chat a little bit.
Please try to watch the video until the end if you can, it covers a good chunk of valuable information. Please leave me a comment for your questions and requests.

The quantity and quality of information provided exceeded my expectations. It is the first time that I have been able to see all the parts and charts of a flight plan from start to finish in one video. As mentioned below, your channel should have many more subscribers. Every now and then, you would have to do a live of a short flight, either VFR or IFR, I see that helps many KZfaqrs to increase their audience. The opening of Discord to be in direct contact is also appreciated, there I am registered as LaNorba22. Thank you very much for taking the time to make these videos. Regards, Nor.

Hi Norberto, I appreciate your constructive comments, I'm trying to think outside of the box when creating tutorials, I know there are number of tutorials on YT around the same topics, however sometimes it's hard or challenging to find all information wrapped up in one video and that's what I'm aiming to do, while trying to help flight sim enthusiasts to enjoy flight simulation and the beautiful community. Again thanks for your kind response!

First I have to thank you. I'm new into flight sims and learned so much with your tutorials. I'm already trying to fly the A320 following your tutorials. You definitely should have a lot more subscribers. How do I insert in the flight plan the arrival, but the short way. Like you did with the departure that shows only ZEPER2. Without inserting all the waypoints.
@TheSimPilot
@TheSimPilot 2 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for the kind comment!. For G1000 you need to use the PROC menu of the MFD to select the arrival procedure for your destination airport first. Then you can select the approach after entering the arrival. G1000 is now changed and available in marketplace you can look for G1000NXI this video will walk you through on entering the flight plan in G1000NXI. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h7SFZcaLzuDTk40.html

Hi Paul, thanks for your nice comment. It's mainly curiosity and passion made me research, read and practice to learn all these over the course of years. With MSFS I thought I should start sharing this knowledge by thinking there will be more new flight simmers coming.

Appreciate your videos, I'm still a newbie myself. You mentioned that the departure procedure was only for faster aircraft and small props wouldn't be allowed to follow it. Was there a different departure procedure for the smaller aircrafts, if not what would the procedure be defaulted to?
@TheSimPilot
@TheSimPilot 2 жыл бұрын
I think I was confused too, it should be flyable with smaller aircraft as well if they can clear the altitude restrictions. Any IFR capable aircraft should be able to do it.
@RemyLabue
@RemyLabue 2 жыл бұрын
It would make sense though, if I take off in a 172 and there are jets waiting, they'd be stuck for an hour waiting for me.
@TheSimPilot

@@RemyLabue That's a point, though I don't know how ATC operates in real life when small aircraft wants to take off from an international airport. Though, I don't think there will be to many due to cost of hangars and airport fees.
@RemyLabue
@RemyLabue 2 жыл бұрын
That's true. Maybe when flying small aircraft I should only fly out of private strips to keep to realistic procedures. Thanks for your advice.

Around 3m 11s I believe you have incorrectly mentioned that Zulu time as Phoenix time. The Zulu time zone (Z) is the same zone as the Greenwich or Prime Meridian with no offset written as UTC +0:00. This means that it exactly the same as Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). ... The Zulu time zone is primarily used in aviation and military operations.. To get Phoenix time you will have to subtract 7 hrs from zulu time.

@@pradeepchawla6643 there's not an easy answer for that and without knowing your budget it's a little hard. However if you want something that lasts 3 years. Focus on mainstream components and the rest will be just fine. AMD Ryzen 5900X or Intel I7 11th gen CPU for AMD X570 chipset Motherboard for Intel Z590 chipset Motherboard. 32 GB DDR 3600 - 4000 mhz ram. 2x1TB nvme SSD (1 as the system drive and the other as the sim drive) also an RTX series GPU if you can find one at a reasonable price. The rest is 750 W Gold+ Power supply and peripherals you please. I recommend a Monitor with 2K resolution and a 2TB SATA SSD for other stuff and backup. Also don't forget a 240mm All in one liquid cooler for CPU and big enough case for good airflow with good case fans.
