Two moss lovers, women after my own heart, not taking it too seriously, not much proper equipment but never forgetting the beer. This is how I do it, I see Chris Bonington’s pass me, stacked up like packhorses and I’ve got my pumps on staring at a damp fern.

Another enjoyable watch Ladies. Looked a great location. I am a little disappointed there was no Cadbury's Flake or Palmolive moment at the waterfall lol. Another sad thing is muggles equal mess. Baffles me why folk don't want to look after their Countryside. Cheers.

On a Ramble thank you it’s s great place, but yes the sunshine brings the mess. People who love the outdoors don’t leave anything behind, it’s the day trippers you pass by with their huge cool bags and deck chairs 🙄🙄 you just know when you pass them again later they’ll be a trail of destruction. Anyhoo that’s my angry rant over! Haha tfw 👍👍

Nice sentiment at the start and what a glorious video! Really well filmed and edited from start to finish and that waterfall was immense. It reminded me of a waterfall and cave we have over here called Gibson's cave, when hundreds of years ago, a hermit was supposed to have lived for years by himself, well, if it was anything like that I can understand why, it was an awesome spot. Your videos continue to improve and set new highs every week, 18 minutes flew by, really enjoyed it. Cheers Alan

If at first you don't succeed......Well done to both of you for giving it another go. Think you've done every Clough barr Brian Clough😁 Love the waterfall footage from 04.57 onwards. Good idea to keep climbing further up too. That's when you find the hidden gems. Had a good giggle at your Yorkshire Tourette's😂😂 I couldn't post any Scottish Tourette's without offending, but when I have young ones around I usually improvise with the likes of, "GETAEFUTYABASSA"......😁😜 Lovin your work as always Sam and Sue. There is as you found sort of a path that goes most of the way up but gets sketchier as you go, watch for holes in the path as well where there's suddenly nothing under you feet, if you get to the top or break out of the sides then it full bat "Off Piste, i go that way usually if i go to the Botha Aircraft Wreck site, If you want to play with some more Waterfalls i can send you the Co-ordinates for several if you want to try and find them, some quite decent ones knocking about, Andy

Hi Sam/Sue, to follow a series of 10 digit OS grid Coordinates for a few decent Waterfall around the Dark Peak etc, i know your not to confident with maps etc at the moment so if not clear i can explain routes etc in a different way , if you have Email, Facebook etc can send maps with routes marked and parking and the like but see how you go, Easiest to access as basically road side is Lumsdale Falls just East of Matlock, very picturesque with old mills etc and a series of falls, SK31287 60543, Fairbrook, Park just below Snake Inn on Snake Pass at SK11429 90343, series of small falls and one pretty decent on part way up at SK 10478 89741, Prettiest way up onto the Northern side of Kinder, Blackden Clough which is 1 mile closer to Ladybower than Fairbrook, Park in layby on left , bit of a kerb to get over or drive to the far end of the layby and reverse in, SK 13004 89499, through the gate down-up along the wall and drop into the clough at the end of the wall, series of fall all the way up but main one 2/3 way up , down climb from the path SK 12404 88566 and if you carry on take the right hand sweep up a half decent scramble onto Edale Moor, Next one is a good one but bit trickier to get to is Dowstone Clough /Yellowslacks, can get to it up the Penine Way from top of Snake to a Rock Out crop called Hern Stones about 1 1/2 mile up, go to stones then head West Off Piste to the Clough that comes into view about 50 meters from the rock, Path on the right but before it gets too steep on the left drop down and cross stream and make way across the left face till it opens up, you'll see a scramble down on your right about 80 meter down scramble takes you to a cracking 25/30 foot fall , then obviously climb back out , if you follow the top contour around the side of the clough will bring you out at James Thorn and back along to the Superfortress etc , well worth the effort but prob make more sense on a map but can't send files over here , Off of the Woodhead is Crowden Car Park, SK 07254 99267, There are a couple of quite decent drop fall and a couple of also quite nice ones close by , main 2 SE 07430 02338, SE 07383 02469, Bonus 2, SE 07652 02378 & SE 07767 02417, Probably do you for now lol, Hopefully makes sense but see how you go, Give me a shout if unsure and i'll try and clarify, Good Hunting, Andy

Hello, ladies! Are you well? ☺️ I was searching for waterfall walk in Peak District and your video came up. 😁 Great find on the further up waterfalls..like true explorers! 💕 Did you see many potential wild camping spots on this walk? I’m really keen to wild camp if possible..would appreciate any advise & recommendation. 💚 Take care, Mari
@backpacksandbruises
@backpacksandbruises 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mari, to be honest we had our sights on doing a wildcamp here ourselves, we visited a few times on the run up to it and had a change of heart. At the foot of the trail (which is probably the best place to pitch a tent) there was a lot of signs of activity, rubbish and beer stashed in trees! Not a place I would return to for a camp. The higher you go to the beautiful waterfalls, there is less signs of activity but no real space for a pitch, or bivvy. It's worth a visit to see if you agree, but its not on our recommendation list of wildcamps. Hope this helps, and don't be put of visiting its a beauty. Stay well friend 🙏
