Featuring: 7051, 'Austins No. 1', 138C and the OLIV Drewry Car.
The scenes that were filmed were: 7051 and 'Austins No. 1' departing Moor Road, the Drewry Car at Moor Road and at Balm Road, 7051 departing Moor Road, 'Austins No. 1' approaching the South Leeds Stadium, 7051 passing the South Leeds Stadium, 138C arriving then manoevering at Park Halt, 'Austins No. 1' manoevering then departing Park Halt.

Hi. Glad we got the chance to film the Drewry Car. You're right. It does look good. We haven't been to the Apedale Valley Light Railway yet but hear good things about it so we must go in 2013. Regards Joseph

Hi Tommy. They only used it on the Balm Road branch for most of the day. It was nice to see the diesel shunters having a run out. Apparently, Hudswell Clarke Mary was out on Saturday but we were at the Ribble Railway then. Regards Joseph

Hi thanks for watching and leaving a comment. According to the Middleton website, the Drewry Car was ordered in 1947 and delivered in 1950 originally intened for the Woodhead route as an overhead line inspection vehicle hence the name OLIVe. It has been used on the Old Dalby test track. Middleton got it in 1997 and converted it to passenger use. Regards Joseph

The Drewry car was originally an Overhead Line Inspection Vehicle and adapted for passenger use on the Middleton Railway. It doesn't get used much so that's why we went to film it. Regards Joseph

That Drewry Car looks interesting, I don't know that much about trains, but I think that Northern Pacific Road Railway Cab-Forward Engine, and the Hudswell Clarke 4002 Diesel Shunter would be a great representative of the Drewry Car.

Thanks for watching. The Drewry Car was originally an overhead line inspection vehicle from around 1950. It was converted to passenger use at Middleton Railway from 1997. It was set on fire a year or so ago in an act of vandalism. I think it has now been repaired and repainted. regards Joseph

The Drewry went to Ingrow on the KWVR for attention to the windows. Later, back at Middleton some f@&^ing scrote torched it. Fortunately the fire was discovered very quickly, preventing damage below the level of the frame. They didn't find the person responsible.

I went yesterday 08/10/2022 and it was still out of service, sadly. Some restoration work has been completed, but there's still a way to go - they are volunteers and the usual constraints of time and money are needed to complete the work. I don't suppose these vandals, will have stopped to consider, that historic items are preserved, for future generations to learn about and enjoy the past !
