So Richard wouldn't put up with American slang. They sure as Hell don't make beauties like that anymore, and now everything is so PC. I did see her on set 1980s Toronto Canada amazing woman. coralarch There's a wonderful story in one of her biographies in which the barely adolescent Elizabeth walks through the MGM commissary. It's really palpable that she was upset. She's trying hard to get through it. Richard Burton had just lost the Oscar moments before-- for the 6th time, and she really wanted him to win. His losing for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf two years before, when she won her second, put a strain on their relationship because it really was humiliating to him to keep losing. I'm sure she was not looking forward to how he'd be behaving after the show was over.

Forget her tan and beautiful bosom, man what sexy eye brows!!! Ladies, quit with the trimming, plucking and waxing....natural beauty never goes out of style!1

Sorry to disillusion you: Liz's eyebrows were completely drawn on by MGM's makeup dept. She used 8 different color pencils kept in a refrigerator by her makeup table, kept very sharpened. It came out when she went into Betty Ford for rehab, and a reporter saw her without them.

shhhh they trim, pluck and wax , because the NATURAL beauty youre speaking of , they have none, so you see .....they use those to get ...more beauty the real woman is the one you look at in the very morning when you wake up and shes still sleeping

Midnight Cowboy, Anne of Thousand Days, Z, Hello Dolly, Butch Cassidy. What a bunch of masterpieces. Anyone of them could win an Oscar nowadays.

Except for Hello Dolly, I agree. I watch Butch Cassidy fairly regularly, have seen Midnight Cowboy at least a dozen times, and recently saw Anne and Z….surprised how much I enjoyed both of them….what a great year for movies.

What a beautifully attenuated Best Picture acceptance speech! He surely must have known he would be forever upstaged by the presenter, and the immortality of the Taylor-Burton diamond, displayed here to such astonishing effect.

I love her eyeshadow I never knew the shade. It's a charcoal with blue in it. She always wore this. One color up to the eyebrows so simple and classy.
