Mike is a loss to this community that cannot be replaced. He was a real friend and one of the few people who stood by me through thick and thin. I know precisely where this man went after he died. I hope I can deserve to be there too someday.

For some reason I found the intro very poignant... Just that opening shot of all Mike's gear, just as he left it the last time he played. That just got me somehow, and can't really explain it. I suppose it's just that it was his "happy place" as Sarah put it. All his favourite things, arranged how he liked them. A lovely tribute from all involved...

I never met 'Mike' in real life, and only managed to speak to him via comments and emails we shared. I started following him about a decade ago because he just seemed like a decent bloke, when so many people on KZfaq were clearly anything but. We were almost the same age - just the matter of a few months difference - and I know he'd have been a great person to share a meal or session with. I'm so glad I was able to voice one of his videos and give back a little to someone who I felt I knew like a real life friend. Best of luck to all the family, and I look forward to seeing the fantastically talented Emily going from strength to strength in her career. Ta-da, mate. Requiescat in pace.

Mike was a positive force in the guitar community and never an ill word said. I loved checking in to see his videos....again a positive force. He left us all better than he found us. Godspeed....

Mike was a really nice guy. When we first crossed our swords about Chinese guitars and I thought he was just far from nice. Soon I found out he was more than that. After all he was mine and always everybody else friend. Such a nice guy and that's it...!! Thanks for this Andy.

Mike is a perfect example of a life well lived. We are all better for having known him or even being lucky enough to call him our friend. His legacy will live on. My prayers are for peace and comfort for his family and close friends as they continue to grieve his untimely loss. He was a true bright light in a very dark world. I too will strive to be more like him and to never let anyone that I love go a day without me telling and showing them that I do. Our life is but a vapor and I too look forward to seeing Mike again one day. God bless and rest easy my brother 🙏💙🎸👍

So sorry that Mike has passed. I Neve met him personally but always he would answer me whenever I messaged him. Always with a lot of Love and compassion. I will miss him as many will do. Lets hope he is in a better place and with is voice back.

Mike helped me thru my cancer treatments. Unselfishly,honest, and I'm here because of his upbeat words of encouragement. My grandchildren will know of Mike and how true giants walked this earth..RIP mate..

What can be said about Mike that hasn't already been said many times over? I looked forward to his videos every Sunday morning (Nashville time) and never gave up hope that he would be able return to regular posting. When I first found his channel, his personality alone was what hooked me. As time went on I began to find out what a great guy he truly was out in the real world. Just knowing people like Mike actually exist should give us all a little more hope for humanity.

My heart sank a little when i saw the title, I had only the barest of interactions with Mike but he was a fine man whose current chapter had a fitting ending. Condolences to his friends and family.

As you've already said, Mike was one of the good guys. I initially met him through his channel a few years ago. But, we met in person at NAMM in 2020 and he treated me like we've known each other for decades. He gave me a huge hug, too. But, since our meeting, we'd talk about our biggest mutual love...the Beatles!!! He will be missed by everyone for a long time. Until next time, RIP, my friend.

Mike's wife and children are in serious need of our prayers and support. I am one who count myself blessed from knowing Mike who was the best of the very best and I know many, many, many people across the world will have a real warm spot in our hearts as we remember Mike as a genuine, honest and wonderful man passionate about music. Nice tribute to someone I have no doubt was a great man. Spoke to him once, and once only, and I liked the bloke. We were almost the same age bar a couple of months I think. Would have loved to have met him in the real world and shared a coffee and chatted guitars. It was his fault I bought my first Harley Benton and I kept reminding him of that fact 😂 It would be nice if his channel could stay around as a legacy to "Mike" Sleep well Lance, you'll be missed by many

Mike and i were the same age. Any time we had spoke he was always like talking to a best friend, even though we had never met and we are on oposite sides of the world. I was lucky enough to have made very brief contact with Mike, and my experience of him was massively positive. A welcoming, kind, appreciative and wise man... it all comes across in his body of work on here... I didn't know until tonight that he had passed. The world is poorer, we are all poorer for his passing. Heaven has gained.

Although it's been said before by people who are much more eloquent than I, Mike's passing has left the world just a little bit darker a place, and we are the sadder for his loss. What I liked about Mike and his channel is that he was genuine. A lot of youtubers inject some larger than life personality as time goes on, to become a "brand" of sorts. Mike's brand was just him being himself.

"Mike" touched SO many lives! I wish I could have met him in-person. From what I know of him, he loved music, but he loved his friends more. The one thing I'm absolutely sure of is that his family was his greatest sense of pride, love and life. Every time he was on a live stream, I would pop in the chat and he would call me out by name and talk as if he was sitting across the room (instead of across the world). He had a gift of bringing people together. Even though his mouth was a bit "salty", his heart was golden! For those who knew him and cared for him, "Take good care"!
