These Bereans exhibited several positive characteristics that marked their response to the gospel (GOOD NEWS... is it possible more GOOD NEWS is in a good novel?) message. First and foremost, the Bereans were “more noble” because of their willing reception [new ideas.] Unlike the unbelieving Thessalonian Jews, the Bereans were eager to hear the teaching of Paul and Silas. Second, the Bereans examined what they heard by comparing it to the Old Testament Scriptures. The fact that they honestly listened and conducted further personal research led many Bereans to faith in Jesus as the Messiah. This expansion of Christianity was not limited to those within the synagogue, but also extended to many Greek men and women in Berea.

@@j7489 One thing, is not another thing. So said ancient philosophers. It is called the "Law of Difference." Progressive worldview, however, believes in conflating two separate things by the power of their say so. Hence, they say one thing that is different, is the same as a thing quite different than that. How? By the power of their say so. Then again, the Progressive worldview also says two things that are the same, are different. Hence, they believe the opposite of the "Law of Difference." Interesting, no?
