www.vladtv.com - Odd Future rapper Mike G spoke to VladTV about Frank Ocean coming out in 2012, and he said that the news didn't come as a surprise to him. After clarifying that he wasn't calling the news before Frank came out, Mike said that the situation was specific to Frank's life and it didn't really affect him.
During the sit-down Mike also shared his thoughts on the possibility of gay rappers being a regular thing in Hip-Hop, and the West Coast emcee said that he can't foresee it happening in the near future. He explained that there are still a lot of people who aren't comfortable with the LGBTQ community, and Mike added that it would take a very confident person to make it as a mainstream gay rapper.

I wouldn't say that, this is new. Mike G didn't have dyed dreads in '13 (when Frank made that announcement) I'm psyched for this new album, Miguel won't make a near percentage of what he'll sell off this next album.. Ocean don't even got a single out yet but it's cool. stay tuned

The thing I dont understand is that this guy keeps asking questions about Frank Ocean coming out. I'm not pissed off or anything but the way I see it is when Frank came out, I was a junior soon being a senior in high school which was like 2012. Im a sophmore in college and its crazy how this subject is still being brought up. He could asked MIke G about other shit like his latest mixtape he dropped, the rumors of OFWGKTA breaking up even tho they really arent or weed so Mike G since he blazes a lot. But no, Vlad had to bring up something that happened like 3 years ago.

truth be told They haven't found anything yet at Jared Fogle's house (the Subway guy). An employee who used to work for Fogle was caught with child porn on his work files, which is why they're searching his house. Also, Steve Burns (Blue's Clues dude) is still alive. He didn't die from a cocaine overdose.

Why is Vlad asking such a dumb question!? Do you think were going to have a time where a bunch of openly gay rappers will be played on the radio and selling albums? Then referenced the possibilities to Frank Ocean's success as an artist. That is extremely dumb! First off Frank Ocean is NOT A RAPPER, he sings on all of his records! He's more comparable to Elton John or Sam Smith then too Tupac or Biggie! and both Singers are openly gay and has shown to have extreme success in the industry. Of course a rapper making 90% hip-hop music isn't going to be accepted as well being openly gay, or see the success "grammys, album sales, radio plays" that other gay musicians in A DIFFERENT genre see. Why and how can you even make that comparison? Frank ocean isn't a rapper, have you heard his songs and album? He's a singer/vocalist and his songs are not Hip-hop! He doesn't rap or rhyme on his tracks? So why are you saying why can't a Openly gay "Rapper"/"Hip-Hop Artist" who incorporates gay elements into his songs see the same success as Frank Ocean? It makes absolutely no sense at all! Have we seen openly Gay singers in the past do well? Yes, Elton John for example, a VERY successful and respected artist/singer, and future artist to Frank Ocean, Sam Smith who came out after Frank Ocean's debut has also seen a ton of success and respect as an openly gay artist. But all 3 Gay artist are NOT rappers or Hip-Hop artist! So don't ask "why can't a openly gay rapper be successful?" and then back up your statement with Frank Ocean's success. Mind blowing how dumb that is. You DJ Vlad being so invested in Hip-hop and the culture should already understand why being openly gay in Rap/Hip-Hop would not be accepted or even taken seriously. Also YOU DJ VLAD should be smart enough to understand that Frank Ocean is NOT A RAPPER or Hip-Hop artist so using that as an example is extremely stupid and makes no sense. Do i need to explain this to you easier so you understand? 3 Gay Singers = 1.Frank Ocean (Black) 2.Sam Smith (White) 3.Elton John (White) What are the differences between the artist listed, Skin Color/Ethnicity? Yes, Frank Ocean is black but that does not put him in the same category as a Rapper/Hip-Hop artist. Yes Rap/Hip-Hop is a Black Dominated Genre but that doesn't mean any artist who is BLACK fits in that category.

How homophobic hip-hop is I don't think there would be an openly gay rapper, if there's a gay rapper then he has to suppress himself be in the closet and pretend to rap about women and call them out of their names or rap about the drug life or street life or thug life...its okay to make music degrading women, about drugs, street life, thug life but he cant rap about his feelings towards another man...I know, hip-hop and its hypocrisy, oh well, just the way things are...I pray one day that hip-hop does become a little open minded, well they don't mind a lesbian rapper, but a gay rapper is frowned upon...also Frank Ocean is bisexual.

The interview behind the camera sure is trying to stay on this "gay" topic. Gosh I'm tired of hearing about it and I'm tired of people trying to force that shit on everybody. Hip-hop is an alphamale, touch, straight black and white culture and genre. I'm sure it would be some knock down drag outs if some sissy pranced in on the BET awards in some heel spitting some hardcore rap. I don't know what the agenda with homosexuality being enforced so hard but something needs to be done about it.
