YES! The PowerPoint Presenter updates have been a much needed feature! This will help when doing online classes, annotating and highlighting to help teachers focus the attention on specific parts. Now there's no way our school will ditch Teams. It's become somewhat of a necessary tool box with all of the bells and whistles that make our craft smoother.

Thanks for the tips. Maybe I don't know how to do it, but "freeze screen" is a very desirable feature (like Webex) not available to my knowledge. I also agree that Teams consumes a lot of memory, a lot, as per other comments.

Did they scrap the join using a Meeting ID option? This was something that I was looking forward to because our organization does not provide Teams access to probationary employees. I often have them join as Guests in Teams using the link(which is quite long) is difficult and work-arounds such as shortening the url is blocked by IT. I hope that they incorporate it in the future for ease of use. Them incorporating Presenter View is a live saver. I used to run the presentations in Presenter View and just share the Slideshow so that I can see my notes. Now I can load the presentation directly from One Drive while still having access to my notes.

Hello Mike- great Video. short question. I have a serial Meeting and added once a colleague during a call to the ongoing meeting. If we use the chat on another day, the added colleague still can see the chat, even if he isn’t invited to serial meeting. Is there any chance to avoid it?

Looks like the bulk import extension is no longer available in Chrome. It is available in Firefox, but it doesn't seem to work most of the time

It looks like the "Refined Microsoft" bulk import option has been removed from the chrome store, at least in Canada. I can still see it on Firefox, but I cannot find it on the chrome store.

These are awesome improvements. But I have a question. Will the bulk import allow inviting people who aren't part of your organization (guests)? Also, I wonder if I can take my list from an Excel column instead of having to put a space and semicolon - just copy and paste.

Can you make a video for android teams.. we cant put the screen in full screen.. there is no option.. the members profile is in the right side so we cant clearly see the content in that short screen. Hmm - many of the top requests have been shipped. Example - Calendar in Teams Assignments has been the #1 EDU UserVoice request and we just shipped it

@@MikeTholfsen I'm referring to the #2 overall request (with over 35K votes) concerning multiple Teams accounts. This uservoice items has been here for over 4 years. I personally don't use Teams because of this very item. I have 12 Office 365 accounts. and can only use ONE of them on the Teams apps. This pretty much makes the entire Teams app useless for me, so for that reason I never use it. I would love to get on the Teams bandwagon but until I can effectively use it with all of my Office accounts it forces me to look at other tools.

@@MikeTholfsen correct --- just like I can look at all 12 of my mailboxes in Outlook at the same time. The iOS app already lets you jump in an out between Teams tenants on the fly. Not sure why the Windows version doesn't let you do the same thing. Currently on the Windows version I can only be signed in to one tenant, so I constantly miss chats and calls from people on the other tanants.

Standout view doesn't work for me. I can select it and I see myself in standout view but it doesn't change a thing for other people in the meeting. They don't see me in standout view. I am doing anything wrong?

I have spent weeks learning TEAMS. Three failed meetings in due to attendees not being able to see the shared PowerPoint. Updated software, no improvement. Any suggestions on how to remedy this? If not, I have to go to ZOOM.

Is standout view available in Teams desktop app only? Not in web, mobile or tablet? Cause' I've heard that my students using web, mobile and tablet teams could not see me in standout mode. Is this an update issue?

I believe that only persons using the desktop app which has the standout view available will be able to see you in standout mode. If they don't have the standout mode option on their own teams, even though they may be using the desktop app, they will not see you.

Hi Mike, I've been wanting to develop the linked Sharepoint site into a course website and add as a tab for a while now. However my institution sets up brand new Teams courses each year for the same course. Is there a way to transfer the Teams Sharepoint site each year? I have been searching for a week or more and can't see if this is possible. Obviously I wont be setting up a new course site every year from scratch! (Alot of us prefer this method as it gives alot more control, alot of staff use google sites currently but it would be good to do this in a microsoft product, as an extension of this our students need public websites. Google sites is great for this, any chance Microsoft might develop something similar for students to have external public websites) :D

You can repoint to a new site manually, but I don’t think there is a way to automate it

Have you tried to create a Teams meeting in your Outlook calendar? Try that and see if it makes the calendar appear in Teams - we had a similar problem and that seemed to fix it. Good luck!

If you don't see the Calendar then your organization may not be on Exchange Online (Online version of Outlook), which is a dependency to have the calendar in Teams. If you are on Exchange Online, then Brian's recommendation below might help, or it may just be hidden in the "..." menu on the left hand side.

Please help! I'm teaching summer school virtually to 1st and 2nd graders VIA Teams, using PowerPoint. I need to be able to point to the words students are reading with a cursor or with a pointer. The updated TEAMS version is not working correctly, students cannot see cursor or laser pen in PP Live Mode, even though I see on my screen. I cannot continue directing 6 year olds to read the 4th word in the 3rd column, I need to be able to digitally point to words. Why can't they see my PowerPoint Live cursor or laser pointer? I guess I will need to go old school and share my screen, and then right click on PowerPoint to access laser pointer, and then right click again to access PowerPoint Presentation mode, so 20th century.

memory and process consumption is far high. Please, fix it. this is the most important feature. Change the technology of the App.

Shouldn't it be called the "ellipsis" menu? Everybody calls it "three dot," but ... I know, dumb thing to get annoyed by. Also, the presenter overlay is a great step, but we still need stuff like lower thirds! Can't MS just buy OBS (please, no. Lol)?? 😂

Ellipses doesn’t translate well for other languages, and for even English many don’t know what it is. I try to keep it simple…

sigue siendo una mierda de audio y video lag , y una mierda en opciones de compartir. no segunda camara, no compartir solo audio, no audio stereo hq Zoom is the absolutly king.
