MilesDeep Same experience in France. I become a DJI salesman after landing on a beach, in mountain or nice place like yours. People are here to chilling and are glad to see an so intriguing machine. Everyone hear or see stuff about drone but doesn’t realize what we can do in real life with that aircraft. These fishermen were starting to see in the Mavic Mini all potentials for themself to see fishes for exemple. people often amazed about range or altitude also (me too). how far it goes? how high it goes? lol Fantastic machine for stunning experiences. Thanks for your footage.

Something that is really cool to do is to stop for a "break" in flight and do a full 360 at max upward, mid and downward angles for making panorama images later. I like to do this now when I fly, and for nostalgia I can load them into a pano viewer for my HTC Vive. I don't think they capture any 3d information, but you still get this crazy feeling of floating wayyyyyy high in the air over the scene, and you can take all the time in the world to stand there and look around. It's pretty cool. Also, isn't it a great feeling when passers by are totally cool with you and your drone? I love it when people chat me up about how cool the technology is and what all it can do. A couple of times back in the day when I was flying the EasyStar with a 12" monitor sitting on my lap in the car, I actually got to show people themselves from the air, and they loved it. I wish everyone could appreciate the beauty of it, I'd be glad to teach and show all day long. :-)

The spot where the boats pass through was actually a swing bridge . It turned like that to allow boats through . Railroads need to be relatively flat so a large rise like the causeway bridge is not possible . Many railway crossings like this are left normally open and only closed when a train needs them .

Their concern is how to avoid other aircraft. It would be difficult for a pilot to see such a small drone in the air but it could end up killing people if it strikes a sensitive part of the aircraft. Low probability I know, but safety is very serious in aviation.

Those drones fly just as well backwards as they do forwards, to avoid that signal breakup when returning try flying it backwards, they seem to be made to receive signal better facing away from you. I don’t have a mini, but I have a spark and a mavic air, just backing up works well with them, perhaps it will work with the mini too.

One Drone Pilot , I guess you didn’t understand what I said, I was talking about the fact they lose signal when you push out to the end of what the drone and controller can manage , instead of turning around near the limit of your signal , just backup and turn when there will be no signal loss while doing it, normally 2 or 3 hundred feet will do, I didn’t say anything about reducing altitude and most people who range test are at there altitude limit already. Maybe I wasn’t clear or something , either way , try it or don’t try it , I just know it works and there’s no loss of signal. This also applies to WiFi drones as I don’t have anything beyond a mavic air and an Evo 1.

Hehe thats a good trick, i have been Flying fpv drones that you freestyle or race with, and every now and then you want to turn your freestyle Drone to a DJI and make those Long range runs, the video aways craps out on the way home, due to the fpv antenna is not placed Good enuff then, :) bit Hard to fly backwards with our drones, cuz they need to be piloted all the time and we use googles and not a phone screen :) . DJIs är autofly by compairson :) i am about to getting in the car and go buy a mavic air 2 now, i just need to celebrate my mother first, its mothersday in Sweden :)

Another great video, you have great places to fly. Its not really flying weather here (UK), too much wind, at 30mtrs up its 20mph with 27mph gusts, so I'm not confident enough to take mine up. Will have to wait for better weather. I can enjoy watching your trips out though, so thanks for sharing.

Boca Grande..... Home of the best Tarpon fishing and wild iguanas. Fly out during the next Tarpon Tournament. And anytime the Bush family is visiting, be prepared not to fly ot lol. You need to go out to Placida, and fly out to Pine Island. And around Stump Pass. Take a look at Rotunda from the air. Its pretty neat!

Gorgeous location and great range - I’ve done about 15 Mavic Mini flights around Vancouver, never get beyond 500m range, and most of the time it’s garbage constantly breaking up even 200m away. I’ve seen so many range test videos like this, that I reckon mine must have a problem

The Mavic mine has 2 versions "CE" and "FCC" .You probably have the "CE" version because CE is inferior compared to FCC in terms of connectivity

#Delicious FlexSeal breakfast I checked the box and it’s model MT1SS5 with FCC ID. I just shared all screen recordings showing how poor the connection is: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oJ-UaJVzuN6Vm2g.html - the opening clip is the worst - you can see full WiFi icon at all times, I show transmission bars are green and low, and if you look at the location it’s hardly busy city. There’s potential that the nearby ferry terminal could be pumping out some radio, but you’d think it’s show up in those two indicators? There’s 30 mins more footage showing all the other dropouts I’ve had, in loads of locations. I am aware that flying directly overhead in the cone of weak signal is to blame for some issues, but most of them I’m outside the cone.

@@MilesDeep see my comment below, with video clips showing all my flights with signal/range issues. I've seen so many other videos where people fly in cities with perfect reception up to 1-2 miles away.

@@ClaudeSchneider1 I rarely get over 1km in the city or if I'm flying with trees in the way, but if I launch from a hilltop out in the bush I get 2km easy with no dropouts. If you're regularly getting dropped video in the tens of meters I would contact DJI for support. That's not normal.
