After our AR vs AK accuracy test video we took some of the feedback and came up with a new test. We took two CZ Bren 2's, one in 5.56 and the other in 7.62x39, and repeated the accuracy tests. This time we have the same rifles with the same optics and now we can get a better idea of how 7.62x39 stacks up to 5.56/.223.
If you carry a gun for personal defense, you need to be protected from lawsuits or criminal charges should you need to use your firearm defensively. I recommend USCCA: tracking.delta...

Tim, I’m an elderly man who only follows you on KZfaq. I’m not on any other social media sites. I can not believe that you have not made a video addressing all the chaos that’s been happening in the last two months. If you have said something elsewhere I apologize, but as I’ve said I only see you on KZfaq. In my opinion you are a respected voice in the 2nd amendment and gun community and people would like to hear your opinion and guidance on what’s been happening. I know there are a multitude of other videos that have covered the insanity but there are many, including myself, who would like to hear your thoughts and opinions. I’m sure you have to watch what you say because KZfaq is not friendly to right-wing views, but nonetheless I feel your voice is needed during this crisis. Thank you.

The stuff that's going on is outside of the realm of 2A rights. With regards to the civil unrest, COVID19, etc. that's not things that directly relate to the 2A which is why I'm trying to avoid those topics on my main channel. When there's a direct threat to our 2A rights, I am very vocal here on the channel. With all of that being said, I am quite political and am considering doing a B channel that address all recent events from the perspective of a Libertarian and strict Constitutionalist (me). I would be curious how many people would be interested in what I have to say on such matters. Thank you for watching and for supporting us here on KZfaq. I'm flattered you come here to see our content. It means a lot.

@@Militaryarmschannel With all due respect, I'm going to contradict the other people here and say that another Libertarian or Constitutionalist take isn't very relevant or interesting. It is becoming increasingly clear that there are many people in this country who will not, or can not, conform to a set of universal standards or laws, and that the law is being enforced selectively. To be totally blunt, you practically have no right to self defense in this country if you are of European descent. There have been multiple cases now of white people rightfully using their legally owned weapons in self defense against minorities or mobs of Anarchists and Marxists, and being charged for it. Just a couple of days ago a young mother walking with her 3 year old son was shot to death for saying, "all lives matter" and it didn't even make the news. And Afro-Marxist mobs are rampaging across the country tearing down anything that represents European history while police passively observe, yet the police spring into action if someone leaves tire marks on a BLM or LGBT mural painted on a road. The SCOTUS, which is supposed to be stacked with "conservative" judges, has just nullified half of Oklahoma's territory and ruled that a Native American man can't be held liable for raping a four year old girl because he did it on land that used to belong to his ancestors. It is becoming painfully clear that the United States is not some kind of magic soil where everyone is united under the identity and values of being American. The Constitution is words on paper. It has no power in itself. It worked when this country had a stable, high-trust society that was frankly more homogeneous. But when much of the country is made up of people who have no interest in its preservation, and in fact see it merely as an impediment to their own grasp for power, the Constitution isn't going to save itself.

Dies Irae , I saw the story of that woman on Tim Pool’s channel. I will contradict the part of your statement in which you said we don’t need another libertarian voice on politics. That’s exactly what we need, more voices speaking out. All the of the issues that you are talking about i am in agreement with you. The reason why we are losing this country is because a small number of mindless zombies are yelling at the top of their lungs and there is very little push back. We need more people with our mindset to yell just as loud if not louder no matter what the cost. Silence is the reason why we are fighting an uphill battle. The longer we stay silent the more emboldened the mob will get.

Wind is a variable and at 50 yards it has little affect but at 200 plus it does, granted most people aren't long range shooting with 7.62 x 39 but the review I just saw on 9 hole review(AK103 with the same PA scope) revealed how much the 7.62 x 39 was affected by wind. Surprisingly 7.62x39 drifted quite a bit in the wind. I would like to see this difference demonstrated between the 5.56 and 7.62x39 at longer ranges.

When talking about pros and cons of Ak's vs AR's I think application and circumstance best tell the story of their strengths and weaknesses. When we started fighting the Vietnamese in the the Vietnam war we quickly realized that our opponent didn't use the AK chambered in 7.62X39 because it was the only rifle or round they could source but rather it was the foliage bucking capability and close quarter effectiveness that secured the round as their choice. The North Vietnamese Army and your Viet Cong fighters were much more skilled and trained than we originally anticipated and they were smart about their weapon and caliber selection. The above example is a situation where the 7.62X39 was likely a more effective choice for the situation. However with that said if your on patrol in Afghanistan and find yourself being ambushed with crossfire from several hundred yards and you need to put a round right through someone's eyeball as they lift their head out of a sand pile then you may be better suited with a slightly more accurate rifle like the M16/AR-15 chambered in 5.56 NATO. A carbine like a 14.5" Colt with an ACOG or even an 18" DMR in the above situation is probably a better choice for smacking somebody right in the head at 300 yards when they come back out of the sand to spray more bullets in your direction. So you see this argument really isn't about the rifles or the rounds but rather it's about the circumstance or situation that results in one or the other being a better choice for a given theater.

Bought mine chambered in 7.62x39 in 10”. Here’s why. A shorter barrel won’t be as accurate as a longer barrel, that’s just logic. So since I went with a shorter barrel, I figured if it was ever going to be used it would be used close to medium range. In my opinion, I feel that the 7.62x39 is better at these ranges. Both rounds are great, but the 7.62 had that extra umph to it. Got my AR-15 for long distance and what I like about the 5.56 is you can carry more ammo which you will need when your are shooting long distance. The 7.62 is a heavier round and carrying the same amount of it would suck if you were to carry a full infantry load. Ounces are pounds when you have to hump around for miles.
@Militaryarmschannel
@Militaryarmschannel 4 жыл бұрын
It's a common misconception that barrel length dictates accuracy. While it's actually a complex discussion when you get into things like barrel harmonics, and stuff like that, as a general rule a shorter barrel doesn't automatically mean less accuracy. Less range, yes. Range is directly related to velocity (and other factors like BC). However, many people find shorter barrels offer superior accuracy because a shorter barrel has better harmonics or less movement during firing. Where barrel length can play a factor is with rifles using iron sights. As a general rule the longer the sight radius the more precise the rifle can be assuming the sights are mounted to the rear of the receiver and the front of the barrel. So, with a shorter barrel about the only thing you lose is range because the bullet is starting off slower however you may find it actually increases accuracy a tad bit due to the more rigid shorter barrel.

Omg people, Stop getting Emotionally Invested in an Inatimate Object. "You hurt my fragile feelings, AK's are just as accurate as AR15's" NO THEY AREN'T, and NEVER will be. The AK and 7.62 will NEVER be a precision setup, the way the AK is built, the gas system, and the tolerences arent good for precision, ans heavy slow rounds will NEVER out perform a lighter faster round, its simple physics. A football flies through the aur better than a brick, its just a fact of life. Stop being emotionally invested in a gun because your financially invested.

Half the people think they're Gods with an AK simply because they aren't a good enough shooter to see the difference with an AR. It's not like an AK is a smooth bore musket that can't hit paper and an AR is a laser beam. Seems like a lot of people need that drastic of a difference to notice a change in their performance. Or it might just be a new elitist mentality now that the days of AKs being cheaper than ARs in the US are gone. Probably hurts to admit you overpaid for a modern AK that can't really compete with a $500 AR. The only reason I have AKs are because they were cheaper in the early-mid 90s. Would never buy one now.

Said this once and will say it again. If a gun is moa at 50 meters, it is no guarantee that it will be moa at 1k. The reason? 50 meters is such a short distance that minor imperfections like the barrel not being absolutely consentric to the reciever, which causes the bullet to leave with slight yaw in its flight wont affect the rifles performance on paper. Also bigger es and sd of your rounds wont show such a huge effect at 50 compared to 1km. Its one of the reasons why for example its relatively difficult to pull of 10 shot moa groups at 100m with a 22lr than at 50. And in my testing a lot of cartridges that were very tight at 50 didnt hold the same level of accuracy at 100 compared to others. For example cci standard in my tikka shoots easily sub moa 10 shot groups at 50 but about 2moa at 100. Compared to eley match, it shoots about 1moa at 50 and a 5x10 shot average at 100m is 1.1moa.
