Binge watching your channel like all the rest. All the best sir. You seem like a very friendly individual and I must say most people can’t pull off a mustache very well but yours is top notch! Glad to see your getting tools sent to you now for all your hard work representing them for their companies.

I’ll add one to your list ! A Canuck lock pick manufacturer makes some super “ jugglers “ ( good for wafer locks ) , such as found on file cabinets , parking gate controllers , electrical panels , etc . The also make two “ Hall passes “ for entry lock sets , without a latch guard . On any given site , the Maintenance guy , is always on a two hour lunch , when you need to get in ! Needless to say , be transparent , when you have saved 1/2-3/4 of an hour by these methods ! Personally , I’ve found 98% of clients are happy you saved them money !

I use the Chanson magnetic stud finder it’s the same principle. I’ve used all those fancy stud finders with the depth sensors and all and they don’t hold a candle to just a strong magnet.

I like the stud buddy, we have something similar here in the UK - they are called the Hanson Stud Finder, brilliant little things, I have one in every bag. Good to see what you guys use over in the US 👍

I want the spring tools. It’s been on my list.

I much prefer the CH Hanson magnetic stud finder over the Stud Buddy. The CH Hanson has a level in it. Helps point the finder straight down for better reference where the stud is. You can also rotate the level 90 degrees and use it as a mini level. On painting, I basically tell my clients that I don't paint. I'd rather not deal with the mess and cleanup.

Please do more videos like this. Very helpful. Spring tool was an instant buy. Maybe do a video on your top 10 favorite tools if you haven’t already?

I used the professional spring tools 5 piece set you can find on Amazon at the elevator shop I worked at, my goodness they were great center punch tools, my boss owned the set never even used them. Now I’m back doing trim I was up 45 feet in the air today setting Brad nails awkwardly on the pump jacks, would’ve never thought these mechanic spring tools would be helpful for trim carpentry but of course they are lol

Just an add on , in about the same price range : the Malco small tin snips ( bout 1/3 the size of Wiss ) .Basically : straight and cuts right , and one straight, and Cuts right . On standard sheet metal , they are quite powerful ! Good enuff for standard sheet metal ! Malco makes a pile of other interesting devices !

The stud mark has an even funner name lol (skid mark) but it’s even smaller about 13-17 dollars in Amazon and comes with 3 earth magnets. It’s so easy I had my 5 year old daughter finding studs for me when hanging stuff in the house. The best part is they stick on the side of a tool pocket in my veto bag ( because of the metal on the tool In the pouch. Worth a look.

I carry a pin punch in my lockpick kit , BTW if you ever need picks or jigglers and warded picks , check out Sparrows , made in Canada ! I need a Stud Buddy ! I’ll for sure carry it in my front pocket !

Just paint the nail without setting it whats the difference?
@MillisConstruction Жыл бұрын
Depends on your quality level. If that’s what you consider good enough then 👍🏻 That’s not professional though, you should set the nail and then fill and paint. The paint will crack if you just paint over a nail as the wood will move separately from the nail and open it up.

@@MillisConstruction sorry, I didnt thought about this variant. I just not very love brushes - long months ago I used some, and they not only moulted, but also leaved big tracks of bristle, so I needed to put layer and layer and layer... until finally I had to use spray can.
