@@KevinQ1989 The Asbury Park live version is awesome, but Ozzy's voice shits the bed half way through the song. Plus, I like how on the studio version the guitar tone gets fuzzier with each verse. Either version kills though....one of the best songs ever written.

I don't think Ozzy knew he had this voice in him, given how high he was! This is indeed the early beginnings of thrash, but almost a prog-thrash, given the style shifts throughout. Amazing track! Just showed how versatile this group was. Sabotage was such an experimental album - check out Hole In The Sky, Megalomania, The Writ...all are amazing! Great reaction!

This phenomena of "Reaction Videos" is a curious thing. I'm 54, so that's the music of my childhood and I love it to this day. But you young people, listening to it for the first time and being just as blown away as I was, is just contagious. I'm laughing out loud and yelling at my TV screen "Yes that's right you get it!" or "Oh wait it's about to get even better." The only difference between you hearing it for the first time and my first time, is you stop to comment as you go because of the format. We used to lay the needle in the groove, spark one up, lay back and listen to every song on the record. Sometimes no one wouldn't say shit, like you were in a movie theater or church or something. Since we didn't have so much of what you have now for entertainment, we listened because that was the best entertainment going. Music was really art that was pushing the boundaries of creativity. If enough young people experience these bands and then make their own music with no boundaries, we may see art of this magnitude again someday.

Meanest Sabbath song Eva, in the 90s we had a serious metal bar with a jukebox of only death metal bands and a sound system I can't describe except at a major concert. Lo and behold sabotage made it on the jukebox and I cranked symptom of the universe and it turned everyone's heads,. No one younger really knew music could be that heavy and be lyrically understandable 🤘🏽🤘🏽 When the soulful break came everyone wanted to know what they were hearing 💙

Not Soul my Brother. Parts of this are more based on Jazz. When Toni snipped off the tips of the two middle fingers on his right hand he thought that his career as a musician was over with. However, his boss at the sheet metal plant where he was working gave Toni a record by a gentleman named Django Reinhardt. Reinhardt was completely missing two of his fingers on his left hand. He was able to continue his career as a Jazz musician/guitar player. So after listening to Reinhardt's amazing guitar work Toni realized that he too could still play. So there are parts of his music that are heavily based on Jazz because of Reinhardt's influence upon Toni's style.
