One of them was so bad they had to add a gamerule to let you disable it, and the others I have forgotten about mostly... If the sniffer was a mount and it dug up more than just one thing and could do a lot more, it would be interesting, but it only does one thing... The new trend seems to be that mobs don't drop anything, and can only do one thing each...

@@superhappygamer1162 yeah maybe, but it's genuinely annoying that they actually go to the lengths to come up with the concepts and prototype things, then stick marketing behind it, only to not put it in the game. Honestly feels like they're showing us the potential of what they'll add to the game and then saying "but we're not gonna do that because [insert stupid excuse]". Like all the effort they go through to put these event things together they could instead just spend on putting the things in the game.

It has to have mechanics similar to create mod which is like better Redstone

The biome vote was a much better concept. We chose which one comes EARLIER.

I honestly can't say why mojang doesn't have the ability to develop 3 mobs. What I really don't like about these mob votes is unlike the biome vote, where they said the biomes would later on be added, these have no clarification. Biome votes were better imo because we get a new mob a new biome and new extra stuff. It's a shame that an entire vote is dedicated to a mob instead of biomes. Still think biome votes are the best idea they're had. Though I'm sure mob votes are easier to market because of the fact they are easy word of mouth

Regarding the suprise scenario, I don't think they plan to add all 3. However, I have an interesting idea. How about all of us players get together and execute a perfect 3-way tie on this vote?

I have a feeling that they night update the badlands soon. Look at the recent rend. We got the mountains, then the swamps, now we just need the badlands (and every other mob)

I don't think you'l dog will be to op in battles especialy we don't know how powerful the armour would be, and all you need to do in pvp to kill them is to put lava and by by 10 wolfs or fall dmg

Armadillo for fighters is completely useless, wolf AI has always been complete shit and armour wont fix them dying all the time. Wolves simply aren't useful in modern minecraft, especially when our main transport is wings.

Sounds like a good backup plan in case the armidillo doesnt win the mob vote, let alone to not have a vote at all and instead have something else happen like a surprise.

Yes. Especially since they are now just general animals that now, will NEVER have a chance at being added to the game because of the mob vote. It used to be random mobs created just for Minecraft, mobs that wouldn't really be added sometime else otherwise. But animal mob votes like this are a bad idea. Seriously, Mojang, let's do a different vote next year. We can't have a crab and a penguin in the game at the same time. Such general animals. The same happened with the boat chest, it was in a biome vote but it lost, and then it randomly appeared back in another update later. So if armadillo loses it will prob still be added, and if it doesn’t get added nothing will change anyway cause wolves are useless

even with 1-2 blocks, crab claw can probably help with like afk farms like cobblegens and farming. the penguin boat is already going to be worse than ice because then it would be too OP wolf armor will only be useful for a bunch of wolves; otherwise they're pretty useless even if they give a lot of health. crab at its worst will still be the best mob

1 to 2 blocks reach extention is still a significant buff to reach, especially useful for looking down and making taller walls

Penguin’s are useless they do the exact same thing as Dolphins if they get added it’ll be another everyone for voting for the worst mob

Is it all great? Most mobs from mob votes have been implemented in a way that they're needlessly hard to acquire, or their function is really hard to use. 2017: Phantom... Need I say more? It wasn't even really explained what it would do, but it was a flying entity so people voted for it. 2018: Apparently there was a Chinese vote which ended up being the Panda? Didn't even know that was part of a vote but ok. They do nothing, like in real life! 2020: Glow Squid. It is still hilarious how this mob won. Mojang was clear about the mob not having dynamic lighting, but people still were dreaming that it WOULD have dynamic lighting so they voted for it. A certain youtuber also helped push that idea, which is why it won! Probably unironically the most useful mob vote mob due to glowing signs being a delight! 2021: Allay. This was supposed to revolutionize item sorters, but it was implemented in such a way that it was just not useable. There is a reason people still use hoppers for farms over Allays. Hell, the mud block was a bigger revolution than the Allay. The Allay is cool to have around and just pick items up for you as you go, but due to where they're found they usually have become useless by the time you find one. 2022: Sniffer. It sniffs. It requires you to use Archeology to get the egg, but only in warm ocean biomes and only occasionally because we wouldn't want you to have too many of this OP mob... It sniffs up 2 items, which is the minimal requirement to say it sniffs up "multiple" items. It was everything we were told it was and we voted for it and we're still disappointed... Why would 2023 be any different? This is how I assume this will go: - we vote Crab - Crab extendo item has like... 64 durability - it only drops when a Crab rams into a tree, OH NO WAIT that's the goat. The Crab will only drop his Crab extendo item when it feels like it, which is never. - we vote Armadillo - Armadillo drops scute when it grows up - we use scute to craft dog armor - we give our dogs armor - we still don't use them in combat due to the dog's marvelous ability to just sometimes disappear, jump into cliffs, lava and all sorts of trouble - we vote Penguin - we never find it because it only spawns in rocky shores or whatever biome that is. I can't recall what that biome is supposed to look like but whatever - we don't actually go out of our way to find a Penguin ever because boats on ice or water shutes with Dolphin's Grace are still faster

But plenty of adults still have the range. And even then, the older you get the more likely you are to lose it even if you have it into your adult years.

I lend towards the armadillo, mainly because it eats termites and adds wolf armor the crab sounds useful, but it can only place blocks from a distance. Losing mobs could possibly make a return in some future update as they see fit, if even as a different form than a mob, it's just not a promise to happen.

REASONS PENGUIN SHOULD WIN 1. Iceboating, ocean travel, villager transportation w/ iceboating, 2. Builds like cute ice tunnels or igloos. (Yes i know it’s a macaroni penguin but it’s still a penguin) 3. More chance of seeing it in the wild and survival mode than the crab. 4. Very sociable, won’t try to hide from you like armadillos and will approach you easily. 5. Baby penguins so it could be breedable, maybe even tamed. 6. If they are making them accurate to real life, they could be hunters and provide you with fish for food.

I think you misunderstood the crab. What happens if you miss place a block it says you cannot minute meaning you’re gonna have to pillar up there anyways.

2 blocks is plus 50% reach, also makes mlg much easier

sadly its not possible, even if we somehow managed to get it to match votes, 1 option would end in 33.334% since all the numbers add up to 100% and 3 33.333% would only be 99.999%

Why do people keep thinking in decimals? As long the votes are a multiple of 3 it works. If 33,333 people vote, each mob gets 11,111 votes and they all tie. Of course it might get to 33,334 or 33,335 and it won't work but if you plan to get millions of people to tie a vote down to the single digits then probability isn't even considered anymore

For the wolf armour I kinda think 'who even cares for horse armour' and I'm expecting the result with wolf armour to be the same

at least this year that problem is significantly less than in previous, we clearly know hwta thye will do.

@@sketchiscribblr8285 First, who knows if it is going to be like leather armor if we do not know the crafting recipe. It could be multiple armor crafting, like Gold, Iron and Diamond. Just like horse armor. The scute might be just 1 item of the recipe.

​@@Cera_01bringing 3 to 4 wolves into battle is more than enough for regular pve combat, speaking from experience while i'm completely trash at fighting in general. Now for those wolf armor cutting the damage done to em is gonna make them much more viable and will now require less meat to heal

I’d say the crab actually has the most practical use. Wolf armor won’t really stop wolves from being really fickle.. Not unless they change the way the AI always puts itself in danger.

Wolf armour will not fix their horrible AI, they will still die constantly and are completely useless for fighting in modern minecraft. Having elytra doesn't help cause you wont even have to use them.

i honestly think that the crab will be more useful since we already got fast travel methods like elytras and lets be honest its really time taking to make an ice road while the claw you probably just need to punch a crab some times. tbh i think the crab is the best one
