I actually legit started using this opening after watching your previous videos. It was a good way for me to start getting more into the theoretical aspect of the game and getting a rough idea of how one might determine the best move when you can't use logic.

Great video, I often came across this when playing with the solver. They give a good intuition on how to play similar middlegame positions imo, where the board is giving you absolutely nothing to work with.

Nice video :) Is there a substantial difference between the choice at 5:20 and the bottom 17% chance? I've always picked the bottom choice.

I wouldn't say its substantial. Maybe the bottom one its slightly better because you are closer to the other corner? Idk its probably a stretch to claim that :P

Can you do 1-3-1 corner next time? But I think it’s very similar to bongcloud, and it doesn’t have too many lines…

I think it doesnt grant many exlanations, it basically gets you 2 more corners to click

Interestingly, versions of Windows Minesweeper from Vista and above guarantee your first click to be an opening (0), I wonder how this changes opening strategy...

Question: are the probabilities of exploding for each tile 100% exact or are they very good approximations?

Ok I looked at the readme and it is 100% accurate, but I would still love a video showing how the probability calculations are done and whether there is a better method other than generating every single possible board, removing ones that contradict and saying p(mine is in this tile)= #boards with a mine in this tile/# of possible boards

I mean, they are rounded up. There is a better method. I will talk about it eventually :)

You don't need to record voice in stereo, it sounds weird in headphones. Just use a single left or right channel from your mic in mono, it will be better. Don't sum left and right channels, it will sound weird also

Yes you should, only if no corner is an opening though :)
