I've had brakes upgraded on my R50 mini, so decided to swap them over to my new R53 since the stock brakes overheat to much. It's a straight forward job, all you need are calipers with carriers and hoses ( also disc and pads duh : ). Cheaper option is to go with R56 Cooper S brakes, but this is the same size disc and caliper as R53 JCW.

I’ll be doing an upgrade on mine soon,I’ve just bought the discs and callipers,I found your video very helpful and I’m sure I’ll check it out again when I’m doing the swap over 👍🏻

nice work!, I upgraded my f56 front and rear brake rotors to ceramic but decided to stick with oem pads. which i believe they are semi-metallic. I get alot of dust especially in the front, do you think this wil be a problem? also I do get a bit of scoring on the ceramic rotors(stoptech-drill/slotted); would you recommend swapping the pads that are also ceramic? thank you for your informative video, subscribed!:)

Question? Can you use the OEM R53 brake lines? Or do you need an adapter?

Hi, nice video! I would have a question: are the front brake pipes the same as those of the R53 such as length and attacks?

Willow's shed, nice. PLS write what is rotor dimension. they have 280mm and 294mm. I have some doubts in the wheels topic - if the 16" wheel rim will fit on 294mm rotor and caliper.
