I like the structure of them, I say keep it this way, I like seeing the before, during, and after of the workout! I love this series. Hey Max, since you're answering questions, I would like to hear your opinion on rest pause. I see you do one of these after your second set of machine preacher curl. Do you think that methodology is as effective as straight sets, assuming cardio is not a limiting factor and you can actually go to failure?

Hey Max! Big time fan, I am loving the vlogs I do have a question though about training. I've been going to the gym for about 1.3 years (training properly for about 8 months). How big should I overload because I feel like I just don't overload by enough, on most excersises I overload by about 1 maybe 2 reps in a week, and I've started to worry that isn't enough. I try to keep my intensity high and volume on medium-low most excersies I do around 2 maybe 3 sets with a 6-10 rep range (I am on a bulk 200-300 surplus and I train Upper-Lower Split 4 days a week)

I think it would be cool to add some post-set thoughts with the new mic. I understand what you mean by it being repetitive and maybe making the videos too long, though. You should try it out for a couple videos and see how it ends up! Question: What’s worse in your opinion, having to skip a meal or having to skip a workout?

Grocery store Own brand Peanuts r elite. Can get 200g for under 60p which is like 1300c and 50g protein. Probably costs more if you're in America but still your best choice tbh. Also, if 6oure at the end of a day with no apetite, spooning peanut butter or slices of bread is pretty cheap l. Add more oils and fats as well, as they're liquid calories for almost mo volume and reasonably cheap

so you do preacher curls on both of your Push days? If I'm not mistaken, the preacher curl targets the shortened head of the bicep. For that I do a regular bicep curl, and then a preacher curl afterwards

Hey Max! Great video! I train 3 times per week, training one muscle group each week (PPL). Despite this low frequency, I train with insane intensity with all of my reps and sets. Could I do one week as an (A) workout split with certain exercises, and the following week as a (B) type split with other exercises? Or would these have to be crammed into one week? Thanks! Keep up the amazing work!

I would just make a workout with a mixture of them and stick with that every week. As you are July training kne times a week u need to track your progression so doing the same exercises allows u to progressive overload easier

Hey Max, i dont quite get your first point at 11:06 tbh, does it really give your muscle more time to recover and build if youre doing 2 different push days than if you do 1?? i guess either way you do it you are gonna hit the same muscle group with high intensity so it would be the same just sticking to 1 type of push session, no?

For hitting a muscle group 2 times a week, say through a PPL like you do, is the second time you train those muscles in a week (for example, 2nd push day or Push B whatever you call it), is that for muscle growth or more to maintain? As you said in this video it wouldn’t be realistic to grow muscle between the different sessions, so I wonder why do 2 a week then?

hi max thanks for the videos, specifically for chest - I heavily favour using cable and machine exercises as opposed to barbell and dumbells. i never do barbell press, and only sometimes do dumbbell press. am I limiting my progress by doing so?

Hi Max, I'm running a low volume HIT training style, 2 sets to concentric failure with partials at the end of the last set for each exercise. My split is an alternating ULU and LUL alternating week by week split to allow for a good amount of recovery. Something I've noticed though is that on days I train, my sleep quality significantly goes down than it usually is on my rest days. I find myself waking up ~3 times a night on training days and only ~1-0 on rest days. Is my CNS not handling my training well? How can I subside this? I love LVHIT training and don't see myself going back to classic RIR training. Thank you.

It's impressive that you were able to lose almost a whole pound in a single day. I just recently finished my cut a few weeks ago starting at 206 and lost weight steadily at a rate of 1.5 pounds every week by doing a regular cut and I got down to 191.8 pounds. Considering how quick you were able to lose weight it makes me question whether or not a mini-cut next would have been more efficient than a regular cut. I know that a mini-cut is much harder to maintain than a regular cut and is much shorter but it makes me wonder if you have also lost any muscle mass so far in the first week since mini-cut puts muscle more at risk. I'm also curious as to how many calories under maintenance you ate to achieve a loss of 0.8 lbs in a day and if you would recommend mini-cutting
