Thanks for pointing out what seems so obvious but never occurred to me...if a tote is stackable right-side up, it is stackable upside down. Really like the tips about how and where to drill the holes for air flow. So glad I stumbled across your channel tonight. Really appreciate the work you have put into your videos and like your overall style. Love hearing the reasons why you do things the way you do. Looking forward to learning lots more from you and your channel!

I found some of these with this exact lid made by Hefty. They have the raised lid, crossing across them and more depth when flipped over. I think they’re about $14.98 now though. Still worth it though! Nevermind! He just told us this exact thing at the end of the video lol. 😂

;) ......... Yeah....I hope that people realize the date of the vid posting when I said $10. I agree....they are still worth it and I am still using them today. I even picked up a few more to advance them just a bit.

I watch lots of gardening and farming videos and having watched tw o of yours I would like to make a suggestion. If you showed the results of your efforts I believe they would yield much more video traffic. That's the one thing i desired most in your videos is to see the fruits of your labor. Otherwise - good info.

Hello Gary and thanks for your input. That is something that is on my mind often. In some cases I can do that but in others it would require me to be better organized along with more planning and THAT is something that lack in when it comes to this YT stuff. If I was doing these vids with the intent of making money or turning it into a job / business then maybe I would have given more attention to the planning but I didn't. It's my hope that in the vids where I share my thoughts and experience that it will resonate with others using there own instincts to determine if it's something they want to pursue and it makes sense to them. I'm gonna try to show more results if I can. Thanks again.

I bought 8 Sterlite containers in March from Walmart- I was going looking at the little cheap bendy plastic seed starting containers last month but I thought-- ugh-- these are going to last one season-- and for the same price I could buy the bigger sturdier plastic containers that will last. Well thanks for the video! This was helpful = I learned my containers I just bought might turn out to be bad (even though they are big plastic containers) and that I did a completely different set up, LOL. I finally got around to it and in early April -- I filled the plastic container with soil and seed starting mix and set my seeds in that and use the clear lid as the 'greenhouse top'. I have been taking the tops off during the day because it has been getting pretty warm… And I have been leaving them out at night. Even though I have gardened a lot I have always bought transplants for my tomatoes and peppers (everything else I start from seed after the frost date as appropriate), but I thought this year I am going to try my own tomatoes and peppers-even though I am weeks late-(Plus I have bunches of herbs and perennial seeds I am trying for) We actually just ordered a greenhouse-so maybe that will keep me straight next year! It will be fun to see if my seeds germinate even though I know I have challenged them! If not I will try again later this season-Blessings!

Hello Robin's Nest. I don't think you wasted your currency on the containers you got. I just know that I always had little aggravations using the ones with the weird shaped lids. Theres' others using them the way I Think your describing but I just like using them like I do upside down. I'm sure your peppers and tomatoes will come along just fine and they only get better as we continue to grow right. :) I look forward to getting my greenhouse done as well...I'm having to re-do things a bit but I will get it done. Thanks

Works great guys and very low cost. you just save your sour cream and yogurt containers and your golden. You might have to provide a little shade out in your neck of the rocks though and want bigger casters for your ground. LoL
