I spray commercial but want to get into some side projects air brushing and painting motorcycles. I’ve got an airbrush kit that seems to work well but certainly wouldn’t want to try and base or clear a whole tank with that. Looking for a quiet setup I can use in my off time in my garage (split level house so one half of downstairs is garage). Overspray mainly but also noise is a factor for me. I doubt I’ll be spraying any flake bases (I’d just bring into work and shoot in booth if that came up) but definitely will be spraying pearls and kandys. I need something I can base and clear with those parameters. I’m sure I’m wanting a lot here but with the endless possibilities with paint there’s gotta be a good setup for this I just don’t know if yet. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

John, we can help in more details if you reach out by phone (just leave us a voice mail at 877-707-8767, we have experts who knows process and equipment very well. In short, there will always be some compromise, it depends on which is more important between budget/convenience/speed of work and such. For motorcycle tank clearcoat, something like Sagola mini extreme will be the best solution to have a thick layer quickly, but it needs a bigger (and in most cases more loud or much more expensive compressor). The hybrid (airbrush-mini gun) we show in this video will be good for base coat and you can do clear with it as well with a big sacrifice - speed. A good prece/quality/noice compressor to go with that would be Sparmax TC-620X or NO-NAME Master Blaster II

20-30 LPM motor can handle it for small to medium projects. Like Sparmax TX-620 or something bigger.

Hello. No experience and I explained what I wanted to do to Dylan on the phone today. I put all his recommendations in my cart. One was the Tooty compressor. Your video on that compressor said it was not powerful enough for .7mm, but would work with up to .5mm. This video you say .7 will work with small compressor. I'm confused. Please clarify what will work for a Grex TG7. Thanks.

Tooty is a single piston compressor. Good for most purposes. To supply TG7, a little more air required. Sparmax TC620X can handle it. That what we mean by small compressor. That you don't have to have 10+ gallons air tank 1HP motor to use it. Thank you!

Hi, I need a full paint car interior (door panels, dash etc). I understand, full size air gun will be best for this, but big air compressor not for me. Can I take this job with Grex 0.7? Or you have another airbrush, iwata G6, hp-cr2 etc

Needle packing seal is PTFE and the airbrush itself is solvent ready. Just make sure you clean it carefully and don't soak air channels in solvent.

it's 0.7 CFM. For best results we recommend 1 CFM for this particular airbrush.

On the Grex you tube tutorial for this gun they specifically said the .7 fan nozzle would require a bigger compressor , their desktop typical compressor would not work for it. In your video you seem to point to the opposite finding . I am thinking about this setup but only if I can use it with my master brush . I don’t want to use this is the same room as my larger compressors .

Definitely bigger compressor than Grex desktop. We were referring to something like Sparmax TC-620x or out NO-NAME Master Blaster II. Those are still quiet and small, while providing much more output. But those are minimal for .7mm setup. For long comfortable use, Paasche DC850 or equal

Hello, For this model, you'll need a bigger compressor like NO-NAME Tooty. And I'd recommend 0.3 or 0.5mm nozzle set.

SprayGunner Com thank you for the quick response . And it also doesn’t have to be this model . I saw one with the little hand held compressor I think u did a video on that . It basically screws to the air brush pen no wire needed to connect to compressor. Do u know any brands that good for customizing shoes but has to be portable ? If u know of any please let me know so I can see my options .

Hello! With such a small compressor you won't be able to use fan spray air cap since it requires much more air than round spray cap. Colani or Grex 0.5mm round spray, or GSI Creos PS-290 with round air cap should do the job.

Can these spray very fine powder? 200 to 400 mesh..very fine. Need a air gun for that on a 7 to 8 inch tall panel, looking for exceptional product.

We tried it with dry pigment 70-120 mesh, 200 to 400 is more of a flake size which could clog the nozzle. We will test when we'll get a chance but it won't be soon. Just moved our business, all the spray equipment still packed, booth not even installed.

Hey! Depends what's hidden under "premium water based paint". It can definitely handle ChromaAir colors or Createx Wicked and Illustration colors out of the bottle!

@@SprayGunner It’s Sherwin Williams premium line of exterior house paint. The material is hdu Corafoam sign foam made by Duna. It’s a dimensional sign with 5” tall letters.

No, turbine compressors usually create lower pressure than this gun needs. But I can be connected to relevantly small airbrush compressor.

Hello! Yes, we tested it with clear coats many times. Especially with 0.7mm setup, it works just fine! You will need to thin clear coat a bit but it will work.
