From an unbiased position. It would've been best to resign instead of being put up for a vote. He made her look sooo stupid in front of the church. I am amazed that she is still standing next to him.😔 I don't think I could do that one. Imagine being in the middle of a sermon, and what you've been doing or who you've been doing it with walks in to expose you for your wrongdoing for the WHOLE church to see?. He needs to step down PERIOD!! I'm glad they voted him out. It could've been about the money as to why the wife was trying so hard to plead her her husband's case, and present him as if he committed a minor offense. Judging by how composed the wife was, I wouldn't be surprised if she had already known about the mistress being pregnant.🤔

I've always disliked that phrase, "nobody's perfect and everyone makes mistakes". I feel like it misleads ppl to do wrong, on purpose. For example, if I'm in a relationship and I want to cheat, and I'm struggling with this situation, that phrase can pop up in my head to justify it. I mean, I'm not the only person who's ever cheated before... I feel like phrases like this is a breeding ground for evil. Bc if I do it once, what's wrong with me doing it 4 more times. 🤷 Next thing you know, I'm just a cheater. But it's ok, god will forgive me tho, right?❤💙

Well said. Actually, we are instructed to be perfect. The problem is we, as a people, put too much trust in man. If we read the Bible for ourselves along with the Holy Spirit, we would know these things. It's something when your darkness comes to the light. Matthew 5:48 KJV Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

"The point is, you avoid scenarios that lead to things like immortality." I was the guest speaker at a special church service. My close friend is the pastor there. After the service, my wife and I were brought down front to greet parishioners. One of his female members came sauntering down the aisle towards me. She was looking at me like a hungry wolf, and if she had switched any harder, she would have dislocated her hip! She ignored my wife; got right in my face and said, "Hey handsome! So where are you staying at tonight?" I asked her name, and when she told me, I turned to my wife and made a formal introduction. Then I said, "I'm assuming you came down with a prayer request. My wife is going to pray with you while I go talk to the pastor." You should have seen the look on that woman's face! Kinda like 😳...

I hate the fact that the higher people are in the church hierarchy the easier we find excuses for them. If it was somebody else I'm sure that person would've been shamed and never forgave. For the wife- The bar is being set so low, you almost can’t see it. Stick with the Word of God and you can’t go wrong. Unless she’s not telling them everything then she should not include herself in the sin. Doesn’t make sense. Just say you forgive him and want to stay together, spiritualizing the wrong behavior doesn’t make it right. Don’t bring others into wherever he and that women made a baby talking about nobody’s perfect. There are plenty of people striving Day by Day to see Jesus in peace and not making sin plans simultaneously. A struggle is when there is resistance. Anyhow, heaven is real and so is hell and Jesus said that Many will come on that day saying they did this and they did that in His name and he’s going to say Depart from me, I never knew you. And what does her response teach other young people or new believers? Probably should’ve taken more than a week to address.

Instead of protecting the pastor they should be rebuking him and telling him to step down from his position. This is why people see this religion as a joke.

Honestly, if she wants to stand by her husband, that's her prerogative. I hope that she feels the same way about taking care of his additional child! Also, pastors are called to a higher standard! If this lady was a member of the church. He had to have built up some sort of rapport with her before sleeping with her! I'm sure that God convicted him BEFORE he got exposed! Where is the team of ppl that are going to hold him accountable? He should have been confiding in other pastors and men of God about this beforehand! He SHOULD willing step down because of this!

The scripture never said there wouldn’t be pastors who are terrible… but that God will judge them and God allows the congregants to remove such terrible leaders. It’s time to start exercising the scriptures and not continue supporting these undisciplined infidels. Forgiveness and reconciliation is for everyone but there are still consequences and “adulterous Pastor” should never be a thing

It's not just society that holds pastors to a higher standard... It's GOD who holds them to a higher standard! ”Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord" (‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭23‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬.)

She’s nothing but a punching so whenever she try to advise anyone or preach anything. People will bring up this situation to her face. My advice to her will be since you want to stand by your husband side, don’t preach or say anything to anyone because you will be seen as a hypocrite 💯

I’ll say this, at least the congregation stood up and said this isn’t right! A pastor is not a perfect leader, as we can see, pastors are often the ones who fall the hardest, but we as congregants have to be well versed in the Bible and have the discernment to say, this isn’t right! Paul didn’t write his letters to pastors only, he wrote them to the church body. I don’t know what happened to this pastor but based on the video, the congregants did not seem pleased and it would be fair to the pastor to be forced to step down for a while while he rebuilds his relationship to Christ

I don't know about being perfect because we are all imperfect and are liable to sin. What they have to be is honest with themselves to know that when they are not doing right they must step away from that role. Why is she confronting the wife anyway. She must have known he was married..is she in the church as well? And for the wife to have to come and take part of the blame for all that mess. If they had issues how he went about it NOT the way and she has no blame in that nonsense. She is a better woman than me because cheating is one thing...unprotected sex and getting someone else pregnant is a whole different ball game. Can't be holding these positions and doing those things. I hope they voted him down.

This was sad to see happening, kids were there and even I myself, was confused as to what was going on... so I can only imagine some kids being scared too. This is why it is important that we have Jesus as our Shepherd, and focus on Him, and develop an intimate relationship with Him so that He grows more in us and we ourselves become small, then we will be ready to do the good works He prepared for us beforehand. My understanding, based on how the Bible explains things to be done when something like this happens, is that we speak privately first... and that means recognising every time we sin, is against God firstly and when we confess and repent, God forgives and tells us not to do it again. I don't know if the "pastor" confessed, repented before God, but before the brethrem too, the flock he is responsible for. There are so many things gone wrong from the start... I am glad you brought God's word to the subject, it is and should be the foundation of our life and our living while we are here, and to be a light in the dark world we live in. Thank you Shumake 🌷

Facts! 💯 He can stay as a church member, but no longer as the pastor. He brought shame upon himself and his family and needs to step aside and take a humble place outside of congregational leadership. It's really a sad thing to when so much rebellion against the Holy Spirit takes place in the heart that we give Him no choice but to allow private sins to become public. To allow shame, disgrace, to become a new way of life. I hope this former pastor will truly repent and learn in humility to allow God's ways to become his own personal ways. Pray for him, the wife, the mistress, and the soon to be newborn child, too. God wants them all to be in Heaven, too.

If anything, both the pastor and his wife must be removed from their place of leadership by the church elders. This sinful behavior on the part of the husband did not happen over night. So then why are they both acting like all is forgiven and forgotten? Its not. They both need time away from the pulpit. Its a place of holiness and its been made a mockery. The wife speaking to the congregation is all unnecessary. The pastor and his wife need to step away and deal with their issues privately and in prayer with the word of God.

It’s sad that law enforcement got called into God’s house. Normally, they don’t come to churches because it’s private property. They (law enforcement) could not contain the crowd and look at all the chaos in God’s house. The Pastor just should of left while he is still there trying to elucidate himself like it really mattered. Just no order at all. This is why there are more people in the world than in churches. We are to bring people to Christ and not to send them in the other direction
