This reminds me of something my mom use to say. She would say, don't do it yourself. We'd ask what did she mean by that? Her answer was always, let God send you your mate, your friends because once you start trying to choose what you want, that's when you get into all this trouble. So let God choose the people in your life.

Thank you, I’m happy you said what you said. Nothing is for free in the long- run. I’ve never been impressed by money because I’ve always had my own. I’m married to a provider and a God fearing man. You don’t have to focus on money to get treated well. Be a good woman, follow God and you can get a good man who will take care of you in marriage.

As a woman, I date for information (data) because I date for marriage. So, for the first several dates with a guy, I'm ok with coffee dates, walks in the park, anything so we can talk. And, if I gather that he's treating me like I'm a "city" girl by being extra stingy, offended, and hurt because he's let city girls use him in the past, I'm out. After a few dates, he should be able to tell the difference between me and that type of woman.

I’m 18 and I’m a scholar student. I absolutely love quantum physics and I’ve worked hard for everything but none of that appeals to my parents. They always teach me:- 1) my spouse cheating on me is my fault because I bored him and that’s how “boys will be boys” 2) I was told that I gotta take care of the household too along with my job without sharing my responsibilities. 3) I’m being told everyday that if he abuses me it’s because he is just not in a good mood and that I should be a good wife and tolerate it. 4) they said they’ll be proud only if they never hear complaints about me from my in-laws. Having older strong role models like you give me hope and reason to live. I don’t know if you’re reading this but if you are, I just want to thank you wholeheartedly. You are the parent that my parents failed to be.

I think way too many women have developed this entitled attitude of thinking they deserve this princess lifestyle and treatment from men with money. And don't worry, i too was caught up in that mindset and i find that the best thing is to just give yourself that lifestyle instead. It don't feel right just sleeping with men for things, but everyone is different. I rather be valued, because nine times out of ten, those men who handle a lot of money, rarely value women in my experience. Its all about fun and sex for them and when they're bored, they move on to the next best thing. Personally, i rather not go through that. I like this little peace of mine.

You shouldn't demonize people with money because not all poor people are good people. I have noticed women are becoming more entitled, and I think its because they have been used by men in the past, so now they want to use men. There are women who love a broke man for his heart and end up heartbroken/abandoned in poverty with 2 children. A man should definitely prove he can provide and is a man of God. Your offspring livelihood depends on it.

I dont think women are more entitled, most women anyway. Men have become lazy and use the women that help them build only to give it to the Mcdonalds girl or the Home Depot girl. They dont value women that help them build so most of us dont want to anymore. You either come with the goods or dont come at all. Countless stories like that and ive experienced it myself.

We ate one meal a day. We didn’t have clothes. Nothing. My mother went to her grandmothers once a week to get a few dollars to stretch for one meal a day. He kept the money in a speaker. The section paid the rent. He kept the SSI, food stamps every two weeks. We lost our mother, now he has millions and kept us out of everything. He had money everything and never worked a day in his life. He never provided. After she passed I had to get a job at 15 and provide fir myself and three males. He took money from me. Fighting me just like my mother. I fought back. He’s used every woman in his life. He used to be a pimp.

I’m learning that the loudest behavior these days is wrong behavior! As a woman who works full time, runs a business, involved in church ministry, supporting my college aged daughter, and involved in civic engagement, I DON’T HAVE TIME FOR FOOLISHNESS. The women we keep seeing and hearing with this foolishness don’t have anything going on. Their focus isn’t working on themselves mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically (not BBLs) to try to attract a man by who they genuinely are. Unfortunately, it’s all about sex and money like Shumake states. Unfortunately, this isn’t going to end well for a lot of women. Let us pray 🙏🏾

These superficial relationships usually boil down to basics. Men want sex and women want money. I don’t see nothing wrong with women getting a bag if the man only wants sex. It’s better than giving him sex and getting nothing. I don’t promote casual sex. But if you are wanting sex without commitment then you need to pay to play…only the woman loses when she provides a man sex for nothing in return. Even though….usually what a man is giving you is not even worth it…but if you’re going to play the game…something is better than nothing! I promote healthy, loving and committed (marriage) relationships…but unfortunately, most people are not on that…especially men!

When I decided that sex within the first few days was no longer an option and that alcohol is no longer allowed during the first few days with a man, it really made my judgment that much better and I think it is because of that rule that I found my now boyfriend. I wouldn’t trade all those months of sex, and all those drinks for the world. I finally found a man who respects me and who loves my family.

God's way is the best way, like you said Shumake. People are not sober minded, there is no self-control and that is dangerous for themselves and those around them. I think about the example we want to be to the young, to our children... The art of getting to know each other is almost gone! We need to be of good character, check our core values, principles and standards before God... then we would have to look for common core values, principles and standards in the other person, check their character.... because, life is full of valleys and mountains... we should be committed to go through them together and build together according to God's good plans for us. As you said in the end, let us do it God's way, for that we have to pray, seek, read the Bible and listen to what God says. I am very grateful to God that you always bring scripture to the subject, it is the best advice and shows you genuinely care about us, about people to have blessed lives. Thank you and God bless you, your family and all the work you do for the Lord 🤗

First, let's perhaps redefine the term 'provider' to not be about financial responsibility. But also as important as a man who pours into his wife, his children, his family, and his community to be a leader/role model they all need to break generational curses and traumas. Second, the world of dating has become all about money and sex, because as this generation and the next transition into adulthood; we've seen how (sorry to say) men in our mothers and grandmother's generation have used money to keep women tethered to them. How the lack of money (aka the man) in the household is the reason why single mothers are castigated and dogged out. Yet no mention of sexual discipline is discussed on the male side. We hear almost constantly the double standard when it comes to sex and relationships that men hold the cards whether they want to marry you; but oddly enough, the only women men are marrying are the the "304s". (see the commentary on PJ Washington) We're supposed to be jealous or envious of the 304s and younger women because of ageism. It's a lot and dating just becomes one of those things that yep is transactional because men have been taught to lead with their bank accounts and not with their character (which is somehow oddly wrapped up in their sexual identity {weird]) but women are thought of as by their gender and what they can do for a man.
@tumweonlycommentary2797
@tumweonlycommentary2797 9 ай бұрын
I totally agree. People should also know the origins of marriage.. Women were never seen as equals to men and marriage was seen as a good as it gets deal" why because a woman will be protected and he children will be looked after.. Not sure when women started having rights in marriage... So now in our time modern women or men choose not to date because marriage either traditionally with the bridal price or not... Has its risks to aka estates etc.. Plus with religion making it even odd too.. I'm also not sure the origins of how religion became attached to the Marriage which makes it more scarry.. So in African sense of marriage with lobola or bride price.. It becomes scary when the bride decides to divorce and now her family has to return the cows aka the loan that paid for her license to Wed lol.. So if the brides family cannot pay she stays, despite him being abusive or deciding to marry someone else in his current marriage.. Most Africans don't speak about that, which makes me question the idea of lobola.. Other reasons of people, partly my age mates is the society's and Religion pressure to "Fulfil God's law etc".. and children are a blessing from God.. Have you heard horror stories of adults having toxic Parents or Parents killing their children. Yes I do agree that when it comes to males privelege the males discretion or lack of sexual discernment is concerning and the constant pressure of women having to be pedastalized and man just have to have bare minimum of being a "Provider"... Cmon.. I feel that marriage should be taken seriously since your assets, or lack of, then Religion etc it's too much.. Plus the demands of living in this current economy is crazy.. I do hate how women are entrapped or say people are entrapped in a cycle of debts0 etc if they choose to marry.. Coz if yo marry wrong you are in shxt, if you marry right.. You are not in shxt.. People should tread carefully when it comes to marriage coz not everyone is compatible to be in a long term relationship or long term marriage. Divorce and people trapped in loveless marriage exists..

“But you need to be aware that in the final days the culture of society will become extremely fierce. People will be self-centered lovers of themselves and obsessed with money. They will boast of great things as they strut around in their arrogant pride and mock all that is right. They will ignore their own families. They will be ungrateful and ungodly.” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Amen! It's so much foolery and enemy lead thoughts on both sides. If BOTH means and women truly knew who they are and whose they are they would operate differently. Find someone who honors God, and knows God's purpose for a man and woman...but that's the difficult part!

What you are saying makes no sense. How is a woman going to know if a man is a provider if he is not providing? Yet, a woman should be responsible enough to not marry a deadbeat. A man who does not provide will not provide after marriage. Don't tell us to see the red flag and still get into marriage, then expect him to provide in marriage. It does not work like that.

Eek… no. Respectfully, you’re wrong. There are some men that will give you money and you will never have to do anything at all. I’m not saying they don’t want to, but you don’t have to do anything. Most times these men are well off so it’s just a flex. It’s kind of like a man going to club and splurging on bottles or whatever. It’s a status thing for a lot of men because they know that most men don’t have it to just give away. You’re discussing this topic from a disadvantaged viewpoint. Men spend money reckless all the time so it’s nothing for a man (WITH MONEY) to give you some. There are women out there that are available for transactions obviously, but that’s typically a woman that’s dealing with a man that doesn’t really have it to give.

The sad part is as a woman you cant even vet if someone has a provider mentality cause of these women. The craziest part is i make more money than the average guy so for them to think youre a goldigger or money hungry is crazy to me. I miss old school men that knew they had to provide for their women....these days if you dont vet you get stuck with Mr 50/50 cause you have a career too. Realistically i would rather be a housewife even though i have a career. Are we supposed to live in poverty until Mr Right shows up?

I turned away from my old life at 23. However the changes were gradual up until I turned 28 when my 1st son was born. I became a lot more intentional about certain things like making money and being a strong father at that point. Then my 1st daughter was born a couple years later and I began to take life way more seriously. I think that’s when I became a lot more introspective and serious about my relationship with God. I also became alot softer and aware of the things women go through too. I remember realizing how demeaning rap music is to women around that time. I had to turn the radio off one day because my daughter was in the car with me and I didn’t want her to hear that mess. I hope that answered your question.

@@TheShumakeWay yes it does! Thank you for the reply. I asked this question because of something my dad told me once. He said, men don’t become men before they become fathers to their daughters. It’s only after they have a daughter (I’m his first child, a daughter) that they see the world in its true form. I wonder if men with only sons ever get this clarity. Ty

This is what men have been doing since the fall of adam and eve. I’ve noticed most want young barely legal youthful hoochie women for superficial reasons and for fun Most do not want goodie good people because that’s considered boring and not sexually entertaining Most do not want a truly good person until they get old, looks fade, sick, or that lifestyle isn’t panning out for them in the long run. There’s good men and women out there but as a human race most humans in general are selfish lustful and superficial

No it’s not. I am looking for a true Christian woman that does not just reject or ghost me as soon as I tell her that I have little money and not a big successful career or achievements like she has looking down upon me with. Too much superficial BS these days and not enough of looking at a man’s heart and character to see if he would be a good provider instead of his level of income.

@@Justyouraverageguy172but as a Christian man how do you plan on leading and providing for your family? Telling a women that you have little to no money without showing you want to improve is like a woman who is overweight with health issues and no desire to get better for her husband or future family ?
@Justyouraverageguy172
@Justyouraverageguy172 9 ай бұрын
@@Bubbles-qh7ezif money was everything then why does the Bible not say that there is a certain money and wealth threshold that has to be met for marriage to occur and the husband to be a provider? Why was the first marriage between Adam and Eve not based on the physical and material because they had everything in perfection but instead based on the heart and spiritual? Why aren’t narcissistic and abusive men praised and celebrated as the marriage model “doing it the right way” despite their evil, abuse, and lack of care for their partners and family outside of money. Your reasoning is of the world believing the husband should just be the ATM of the family. I am honest and upfront and telling of my life’s suffering to women showing and describing why I have little to build trust with a relationship showing my desire to do and be more. It’s not that I don’t want to do more, but that I don’t have much financially and materially as women expect or like . The provider has a vision he leads his family towards holiness and God and pours into the other emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and other needs of the family in addition to the physical.

Some modern women let’s not forget men that want to be taken care of because he thinks he is cute or because HE is good in bed . Money is not the most important to Many women but when a relationship has run its course and come to an end because of cheating that is how woman begin to change the priorities in a relationship.

I’m not saying money should be the only qualifier, but it definitely should be on the list. That’s really the only way to know that a man is even likes you or likes something about you.

Good afternoon most women are not asking for nail money when they first meet most are asking for proper date and being in gentleman. In term of long term dating aside from doing it the proper men will string women along expect to sleep with her and for her to play wifey but doesn’t want to help with anything also never attending o marrying her just using her this so prevalent in our community and the young girls ie city girls watch this dynamic growing up so they want to turn the tables . It all dysfunctional but it on everybody not just women.
