🤔What is Life Redesigned? Glad you asked - You can check out our Channel Intro video here: • This is Us | Life Rede...
🧗Originally from New Hampshire, In 2017 our youngest daughter asked us to take her on a vacation anywhere that had palm trees. Little did we know, that would start us down a path of travel. In 2022, After 28 years of marriage, Our kids, now grown, ventured out onto their own and left us with an “Empty Nest”. Seizing on an exploding real estate market, we sold EVERYTHING and hit the road in our brand new 2023 Grand Design 22MLE. Our videos serve as a diary and an open window to REAL RV life.

You are right about reducing KZfaq viewing. I’ve unsubscribed to a lot of the channels due to the heavy marketing and the bad acting. You guys are real folks. See you down the road.

Also it seems a trend that when some of these full timers come out and say, we’ll we’ve a home base, nice cabin in the woods, or house with a few acres and big ass Morton building etc. normally I’ve seen this when they get about close to five years, is it wrong? No it’s not. Nor is it wrong if you sell it all and go live out here. We are 65 and been doing this for a bit over 30 years and I would never sell it. If you get really sick or rv is broke and you gotta leave it for two weeks or so then boogie home and go get it when it’s done. And there’s more reasons. Also I’ve bailed on some channels, way way to much snap pads and mattress and outdoor grills and blah blah blah.

You’re right on all counts. I’ve grown burned out on KZfaq Influencers that use to be fun to watch and interesting. Some aren’t even RVing any more. All of the ones that burned me out did what people commonly do. They think they have some sort of celebrity status and start seeking more money and sponsors. Then they become owned by the sponsors. In my career, I had many vendors off free stuff if they can use me for advertising or referrals. I didn’t do it. I didn’t want to affiliated with some of them. Stopping for fuel when the opportunity presents itself, is definitely a great point. Especially when you’re towing a fifth wheel and need a truck stop. We keep our travel legs short to less than 4 hours. That four hours could put me to below half a tank. 🤦‍♂️. Then I’ll start sweating

All those items are great. One of the things I remember is when I tent camped. I always only take what is necessary. Wife and I like to watch the KZfaq videos. On the tire safety, it is a must. Tires fail when not properly kept up. For the electrical. I have a lantern and a plug tester. we have had to move twice in one park.

This is a really good list.The tip about checking the hookups when you first pull in before unhooking is excellent. It's so easy to get into the automatic mode of just getting leveled and unhooked. To add to your tip about fire extinguishers and smoke detectors, I would also strongly recommend CO2 detectors as well.

Unless it’s a very simple pop, I’d say at least 3 hours (or more) for a walk through! Not just walk thru, but demonstrate Everything & then have you also repeat each process while they are there for questions! And ask lots of questions, take a lot of notes, and even video some or all of it for later reference!! ;-)

Always stop for gas when you are getting low. It's important. I was relying on my vehicles gauge. That told me I had a 100 miles to go well. That kept dropping and dropping and dropping and pretty soon. The gas light was on and I had to find a gas station five minutes ago.

If the spirit moves you, a video on tire knowledge would not go amiss. One of my uncles was a Firestone dealer back in the 60's thru 90's and gave me some information. It's never enough, though, and things change in product lines over time. I think I would find your information fascinating, honestly.

I appreciate your "normal person" RV perspective, and I try to catch every video I can. If I may offer some feedback: the audio on many of your videos is a bit too hot, especially Bob, especially at the beginning of the video, so that it breaks and goes muffled. Karri's audio seems fine, so I wonder if there's an issue with Bob's mike.

I was one of the KZfaq guys that watched way too much, cost me a lot of money. Also on tires as someone who has worked at a tire factory for 30 years, people don't realize that passengers tires are put together in most cases in less than 2 minutes and truck 18 wheeler tires are put together in less than 9 minutes. So check and slow down when pulling your camper.

Hey karri good vid! I have one question for Bob in which I can never get an answer for is tire pressure. When checking tire pressure in the morning when it’s fairly cool and then temperature raises to 30degs higher during the day, does this affect tire pressure? Also will this increase my tire pressure as temperature rises? Should I be concerned? Thanks
@liferedesigned
@liferedesigned 4 ай бұрын
Good question! Tire pressures are usually set as cold temperature. That pressure will increase as you drive / have an increase in ambient temperature. Usually this increase is around 5-10psi which is nothing to be concerned with. We do recommend pulling over every couple of hours for about 15 minutes to give yourself and your tires a break :)

Highly trained and professional inspectors at NRVIA
@liferedesigned
@liferedesigned 4 ай бұрын
Are you personally vouching for every single one of them? I know a ton of ASE certified techs that are horrible as mechanics but were able to pass those tests. A program does not make a quality person. Experience does.
@californiahikingadventures2249
@californiahikingadventures2249 4 ай бұрын
@@liferedesigned I can only vouch for the level of training and certification each one receives from an accredited training facility at NRVTA. Their standards and qualifications required for certification specifically in rv inspection is the best in the industry
@liferedesigned
@liferedesigned 4 ай бұрын
You do you, but I would still recommend a tech with years of experience over a paid program that has managed to convince a segment that the certification actually means something. I say this after speaking with numerous techs in high traffic areas that end up getting stuck correcting repairs made by people that have “certifications”. Especially a program that relies on KZfaqrs to promote them.
