Excellent advice Zenez, you are spot on with everything you just said. The military, especially the Navy is the best plan if your unsure of what direction you would like to take. I would strongly recommend enlisting in the US Navy, you go in young & inexperienced, but what you learn & gain thru the Navy will take you further, throughout your life,, your confidence & maturity level will grow. Please give Zenez the opportunity to help answer any questions you might have. When I joined in the early to mid 80's, we had no internet, nothing like you have today.. Please take advantage & speak to your recruiter, they can help guide you along. Zenez, I hear you and I totally agree with what your saying. Information is always changing. All facts!!!... let’s not forget the mistake of forgetting that you’re in the navy once you sign you can’t act like you did before you joined, you are held to a standard so when you go out and act a fool you not only get in trouble with the law but you can get hit with UCMJ (Uniform Code Or Military Justice) and no that’s not a double jeopardy situation the UCMJ is written so openly that you can fall under any number of articles and not even know it then surprise game over. I’ve seen it so many times in my career.

You have a bright future in the Navy. I didn’t learn a lot of this stuff until I put on 1st. Keep putting sailors up on game.

Did air national guard and got my bachelors in civil Engineering from Texas A&M became a airman for the benefits of free tuition... Got a land loan from Texas veterans land board also... so yes please have a plan when y’all get out from the military :)

Getting married after A school? Yikes! Lol. Stay single during ur military years!! Best choice u'll ever make. Education? Go for a certain tech school to learn as many skills as possible. Companies don't care if u have a degree. They look for experience. Good luck.

Wow you are an impressive young lady I'm glad I stumbled into your channel. I understand how it feels to want to get out of the Navy (I did it a long time ago) but girl you are killing it! Maybe your calling is to be a career sailor since you are so together. I can definitely see you in khakis leading younger people. If I had stayed in I would be a professional bum now like all of my shipmates with my healthcare paid for something I didn't even consider when I was 22. Also you are already LPO material and the hardest part of the Navy is behind you. Food for thought. Good luck whatever you do
