When she says that about putting the spirit in us , I think it goes even further in that we also are kindred to our fellow spirit family. I believe we can pray for each other and literally connect in spirit if we desire to do so.

wooooah this is totally crazy. this explains everything when I'm deep in prayer i never understood why my lower abdomen it would expand quite far as my breathing would change.i would do it for quite some time and it only begins to happen when I feel very strongly the presence of the Lord and have pushed deep into prayer. I am shocked hearing this what she says about where the spirit of God dwells.

Liz Barber Ive heard her and others use it to refer to mean the God of Christianity, and they choose that term because they are highlighting the fact that he has always been alive

In my opinion.....those thumbs down come from folk who do not believe the Holy spirit is a person who speaks to us today or that He doesn't speak to us as freely as she says. I came from a denominational belief system that taught that, even though the Bible teaches otherwise

I completely agree except on two accounts: The soul and the spirit are reversed here...semantics I suppose. Jesus is The Word, translated out as "logos" in John 1. Logos is where we get the word for "logic." We are told in 1 Corinthians 2:16 that we have "the mind" of Christ Jesus. In other words, the mind is part of our flesh as Jesus was the physical/flesh representation of His Soul Who is The Heavenly Father. The Holy Spirit as Misty aptly put it is Jesus' Spirit. He is three but one like each of us. It is The Heavenly Father Who connects Himself/His Soul to our individual souls via the Holy Spirit so that our flesh, which is NOT EVIL AND SHOULD NOT BE IGNORED OR THOUGHT TO BE DESTROYED AT THE RAPTURE'S RESURRECTION BUT HEALED/ATONED FOR FROM ITS CORRUPTION, in order to make it servant to our soul and spirit He has connected Himself to that Jesus has made incorruptible through His Spiritual Water, Blood, and Breath.

Also, the Apostle Paul explains in Romans that the REVELATION, not dispensation, of Himself in conscience and law do not disappear; for it is by conscience and law that we become conscientious of breaking His law. Paul clearly states in Romans that those under the law are judged by the law (2:12); therefore, it has NOT ceased to exist though people wrongly make it seem so in order to compartmentalize God, taking away the tools He uses to bring people to repentance. Without conscience and law, we would never see our need in our repentance for Jesus and His redemptive work for us as Savior God by His Water, Blood, and Breath. It is through these building blocks of each REVELATION of God that we come to the saving REVELATION of Grace. That is how Jesus was able to FUFILL, not discard, the law where NONE of us created beings could. Thus, these revelations are side by side in revealing/illuminating the Person of Who God/Jesus is to us. Just read Romans chapters 2:12-3:20.

Especially note 2:12: "All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, AND ALL WHO SIN UNDER THE LAW WILL BE JUDGED BY THE LAW." How can one at the end of this world be judged by the law on Judgment Day if that "dispensation" has ended? THAT OERSON CANNOT! Thus, the revelation of law has not ended though Grace is build upon it. If you read further, you see that Paul states very clearly that the gentiles still lived under the REVELATION of conscience, not law, being judged then by that standard. So then we see God's purpose in Romans 3:20: "Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those under the law so that every mouth may be silenced.and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore, no one will be declared righteous in His sight by observing the law; rather, THROUGH THE LAW WE BECOME CONSCIOUS OF SIN." You see? The two are building blocks to surrendering ourselves to God with Jesus as our Savior.

@MistyEdwards...God has shown me your beautiful fruit, Misty. He loves your praise. He loves your intimacy. He loves your fellowship. You have taught me to praise Him whole-heartedly all day every day. However, He has asked me to correct you on something. You said at the moment we were born again, we received the fullness of God. This is not correct. The only way we have the fullness of God is as ONE CORPORATE BODY (Ephesians 1:23). That is ONE UNIFIED BODY with no schism, no division, one TRUTH, one FAITH, etc. If we had that we'd all have glorified bodies, but the Bible says we are groaning for the manifestation of the redemption of our bodies (Romans 8:23). This is why we have the fivefold ministry (some apostles, some evangelists, etc. (Eph. 4:11-16), which I'm sure is coming to your remembrance, that we might all come into the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ not Son of man, not Son of David, but CHRIST JESUS, THE QUICKENING LIFE GIVING SPIRIT. Remember Jesus as man was made a little lower than the angels (Hebrews 2:9), but Christ Jesus hath made us MORE THAN conquerors and Now GREATER is He, CHRIST IN US, than he who is in the world. Praise God for meditation. Test my spirit and see if I be of God. He will guide you into all Truth. I must praise my Father and give Him all the glory. You alone Lord are worthy. Bless You and honor You! Peace and grace I speak over you all!

This looks like a teaching of Yoga, "by closing our eyes and feeling in our guts". Where is the Dying of self first and the renewing of the mind. You cannot "CONTROL" your inner man. You need to SURRENDER your inner man and LET the Holy Spirit move through a crucified Person. 'Its NO LONGER I WHO LIVE BUT CHRIST WHO LIVES WITHIN ME' Choose the narrow path and not the teaching of New Age.

How can you not see that she is saying exactly what you just said? What makes you hear what she is not saying? Question your thinking. Are you always looking for faults, for division? I was involved in Yoga years ago, Buddhist and Hindu. This is not about Yoga, whether bhakti, dhyana, hatha, or karma yoga. And Paul always exhorted people to run the race with all their might as he did for he knew the reward in Heaven was great. What do you think the spiritual disciplines of fasting and prayer are about? We must surrender to the Holy Spirit and control what is not of God: Colossians 3: "8 But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth." Good counsel, I would say.

We are not the most sacred place! Not Biblical. Christ died to save use because we are rebels who deserve hell, but Christ laid down his life for us. When he saved us it’s finished and that faith gives us the power to do good works. He waged war on our enemies when he died and said it is finished. He gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit but God is not living inside , we are not apart of the Trinity.

With all due respect, Misty Edwards, who by all indications is a bona fide Christian, is also one of the leading people at IHOP (International House Of Prayer), Kansas City Missouri, which is notorious for its warped sense of Christian truth and doctrine! And Christians, yes this also means Misty Edwards, must be as the Boreans(Acts Of The Apostles 17: 10 - 12) and therefore be able to smell a rat!!

Yes, Really! But you're right on one point! IT IS SILLY. * It's just as preposterous as that, the creator of the universe will cause His very own Spirit to come and make his home in the lives of mere humans beings..... * it's just as foolish as the creator of the universe will allow His very own son to be stripped naked, beaten, spat on, mocked and crucified like a common criminal by the hands of mere humans.... YES by the reasoning of man this is foolishness and weakness...But God uses the foolish and weak things of the world to shame the wise and strong. YES, He's God, the creator of the universe and He's looking for a place to rest in the lives of mere humans. If you still don't believe go to your Bible and ask Moses, David and Solomon, they will testify to that truth.
