We finally have a limited edition heirloom doll for Esmeralda!!
Quick note after watching back: I just noticed the doll I de-boxed doesn’t have rhinestones on the collar while the one in box did… that’s a problem cuz they are clearly missing… my partner owns the one in box and mine is the one I took out so of course I’m the one fudged lol no bueno Disney
One more thing before I go, if you don’t like the doll don’t give my video thumbs down cuz of it… Disney doesn’t get notified that you don’t like the doll cuz you gave me thumbs down 😂 those thumbs down are not good for my channel so please Just keep that in mind. Thank you!

Happy 25th Anniversary of Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996) thank you for reproducing Esmeralda back in the Disney merchandise after 20 years, Esmeralda is finally back to life 🌿🌈 I'm very sad when I heard that the Disney store closes due to the COVID-19 Pandemic in summer of February 2020, but when the pandemic disappear, let's all hope the Disney store reopens

This is a good doll, but in the movie when she dances and twirls you definitely see white ruffle petticoats under the skirt, so I agree they should have at least put a white under skirt with lace ruffles on the bottom. Her face is pretty but it looks too much like Ariel with a tan. I would have liked a wider face with more of a smirk and one eyebrow arched up and one arched down. Love the new knees and feet, love the small details, and I feel there is enough embroidery for this character.

So, i'm pretty happy to see Esmeralda again, "The Hunchback Of Notre Dame" is dark and underrated Disney movie. I wasn't sure i like that face sculpt because the face that Shop Disney make on "Midnight Masquerade" and classic i like a lot. For the outfit it's pretty not that bad i was thinking, i like the chains and her sleeves, plus I'm so surprised that she has new sculpt for feet and articulation on knees, that's very nice.

I'll say this. Iger had some nerve closing down all the Disney Stores (except for the outlets) but still, I miss going to my Disney Store and talking with the cast members there. I always enjoy that moment every time I go to the stores. Damn you, Iger! (Excuse my language..)

Thank you for rushing to film, edit and upload this review! I loved your in-depth video, and I'm hoping to get my Esmeralda doll today in the mail XD I really love embroidery on doll clothes, but I'm actually very happy with all the accessories on this doll (her earring, bracelets, and the extra stuff added to the wrap and skirt.) If the skirt didn't have any printed material, if it was all embroidery, Disney would've sold it at Saks for $395 before taxes.

But Disney used to sell dolls with accessories and embroidery {Jasmine} before , I do know the price of materials has increased but that is not an excuse for Disney to do such things .The printing on the sleeves is justified because the fabric is very delicate but if the skirt was embroidered or at least the wrap was embroidered, she would be worth her prince point

@@abhaypatra7347 Very true! But the original 16" Alice doll in the blue dress has absolutely no embroidery and very few rhinestones - she's still considered a Holy Grail doll among the fans. Mario said a few years ago that none of these dolls are really worth the retail price, including the original $100 price. But Disney knows fans will pay whatever the retail price is.

@@fumetsushinju yes but i feel like paying shit ton of money on a mass produced doll is kinda a bad decision if the quality isn’t nice . In the case of original Alice only 500 of her were made so she is kind of rare

@@abhaypatra7347 It's unfair that the recent limited edition dolls are much lower quality compared to the older dolls. But I feel like even the $12 Barbie dolls in the big box stores are really low quality compared to the 90's Barbie dolls. I was disappointed to see cheap Barbie dolls with plastic molded clothes that kids can't even change. Unfortunately the decrease in quality and the increase in prices is everywhere in the doll world. I really like Pullip dolls, but they are extremely expensive and most of the dolls use cheap fabric/materials.

Esmeralda is one of my fave. In my eyes she is a princess. She's coming out on Monday over here in the UK. There are 3900 of her available, (more than usual), but I'm fearing majority of us won't even get a look-in due to bots and scalpers. Very beautiful doll and I hope I do manage to get my hands on one. 💜

If it makes you feel any better, she was on the US site for like 2 or more days. She didn't sell out fast at all, and she's currently not worth much on ebay. I'm pretty sure this is due to a lot of fans not liking her face. I personally think she's beautiful!

@@Kicksno1fan I have seen a lot of people disliking her face, but I quite like it. Also in the US, you lot get so many more dolls than the UK/EU. There have been so many issues with previous le doll releases here. No one in the UK even managed to get one of the MM dolls because of bots clearing all the stock and then reselling them on ebay for three times the price of what they originally bought them for. Its been an ongoing issue in the UK as we didn't get many of each MM doll with Hades only having 750 available. Now with the stores closing down, (apart from the one on Oxford Street, London which I live about two hours away from), it's going to make it an absolute nightmare. They don't even have recaptcha to prevent the bots either. She is a very beautiful doll though so fingers crossed I can get her when Monday comes! I hope you got her 🤞🏽

I only got my Esmeralda today, it was still in Europe, and I love her. But I am glad mine does have a lot better hair; yours looks like overgelled and flat.

I am sad that my Disney store has closed their doors in my state. I literally came when it happened, it porbs said it was gonna close before or at July 14. The store was a big part of my childhood, and seeing it decide to close, beaks my heart.

Love your reviews! I got my Esmeralda yesterday and she is so much better in person. But I do not like the skirt or the sleeves. They look beautiful but such cheap fabric. It feels like paper. Plus the lack of rhinestones under the wrap/shawl is ridiculous. If you wanted to pose her wearing the shawl on her shoulders or holding it while "dancing," you can obviously see the missing rhinestones. Disney should do much better at this price point.

The stores are closed; do you mean definitely closed? it's so sad... :( My though to all the staff who worked there. I hope they all can bounce back. Nice review again! you've got the gift to sublime any doll in your videos, and change the mind of many people here, no doubt about it ;) I love this box actually and how it matches with the doll. Still not fan of her head, but the colors of the outfit are nice and seem less flashy than the pictures I saw in DS online or Instagram.

I just went into my local Disney Store today and I did not see her. I wasn't looking for her specifically so I might've missed her but I did look through all the classic and Animator dolls, and I think I would've spotted her. I really dislike the new display they have for the classic dolls. They had some dolls in box that had their counterparts on display but not all, and they had a couple displayed that weren't available in box. Really weird and disappointing. Get it together, Disney!

They said they wanna move completely online. I doubt it's covid related because disney is rich lol. they've been having a lack of sales problem for a while tho, that's another reason.

Many people's biggest issue with this doll is the lack of embroidery on the skirt. To be honest, I don't mind printed details because of think that a lot of embroidery on a small scale can look cluttered. However, I wish they would do more of a mix medium and highlight the printed details with embroidery.

I was actually able to get one!! Which I was shocked because it was in the middle of the afternoon and I thought it would be sold out. I guess people didn't like it?? Which surprises me because she is absolutely gorgeous!! I even got the masquerade Esmeralda which was really low in price compared to the other ones. Which again blows my mind because she is gorgeous but whatever. I got her at a great price and I was able to get the limited edition Esmeralda so thank you to everyone who dislikes her dolls. I wouldn't of been able to get them if it wasn't for all of you!! Lol..😉😋
