Bit of a basic review i did on my new Motow bike rack. Just thought it may help someone out that has been thinking about getting a rack and after some info.
*NB: 180KG LOAD LIMIT ON THIS RACK**
(1900mm length rack)
Purchased online direct from MOTOW
$329 INCLUDING POSTAGE
Does not include:
Tail lights
turnbuckles
D shackles
tiedown straps
This is just my personal opinion on the rack from my experience and having a mate that has the cheaper Ballards Rack.

Awesome trax ive been using these type of haulers for years....now i got a double hitch carrier ..ive had both my yz450f n cr500r on it to the drags...awesome your gonna love it

@@MAKENTRAX yea i have one its called black widow double hitch carrier...very similar to yours..even the anti tilt and ramps are the same👍

They're a good thing , i went with the racknroll and its super strong bit dearer but all Aussie. Ya do great vids mate hope to see ya out there somewhere.

I gotta cheap 1 of those from harbor freight I just watched my bike Roll left roll right I couldn't handle it anymore so I quit using it yours look so much better

yeah we have cheaper ones over here aswell. i couldnt bring myself to buy one. Budgie has got one that was $179 dollars. not bad for the money but not very sturdy.

can only just see the handle bars off to the side on the prado mate👌 doesn't impair vision at all👍

I had that exact rack for about 2 years, replaced it with a full steel one recently. Keep a good eye on the 4 bolts that connect the aluminum ladder section to the steel hitch mount. Over time those 4 bolts oval led out the holes through the aluminum. Maybe while its new put some lactate on the cheap nylon nuts and some decent sized washers too.

Hi Mike it wasn't plug and play. Was all separate componenets light, cable and plug.

No issues with the back wheel of the prado?? Mate

Nah mate clears it easy, i actually lean the bike against the spare wheel and it stays there, and it stops the handlebar being able to hit the rear window. Win win, Heaps of clearance between wheel and bike once the bike is secured upright in place.

I did consider putting step by step how to assemble but i thought it would make the vid too long and boring. It was more about providing people with an overall idea of the product. Thanks for your comment and feedback greatly appreciated👍

Mine has so much slap and aide wobble. I measured the box tongue, seems it's undersized. Also the 3 screw brwce thing won't fit correctly on a audi q7. So I asked for a refund and they are dragging their legs even tho I provided proof of 2mm undersized. Should be 50mm not 48mm.

ah shit that's not good, i will have to measure mine🤷‍♂️. mine works really well hey no movement at all when everything is tightened up.

@@MAKENTRAX yeah ive considered getting some galvanised sheet metal and cutting strips out and using industrial glue to really make the fitment nice and tight.

you could also run some beads of weld on each side and grind them back to make it a snug fit.

@@MAKENTRAX whn you get a chance, could you measure yours and let me know. i would appreciate it. i suspect they changed procudtion companies and its got worse since they started to get the product from china and rebadged them for australia.

@@AridersLifeYT Hey mate sorry it took awhile. I just measured the box section and it is 50mm both ways and is 6mm thick.
