I've been running a lot of trains on my model railway now it's 'finished' (I know, still loads to do!) so I thought I'd film some locos and put out a video. Sit back with a cuppa and watch the trains go by!

Hi Simon - Thanks for the video upload - lovely to see the trains working around the layout, my particular favourite was at 8.10 with the rake leaving the platform, very authentic. Regards Steve

Hi Simon Very nice video, I like the view through the footbridge looking towards the tunnel. It takes awhile to get to this point but I guess its worth it to just sit and watch the trains run by. Thanks

Glad you enjoyed it Peter. Yes its taken a while (and the zoomed-in shots show some bits that need attention / cleaning 😀) but its great to just run some trains for a while 🚂

Cheers Ian, thought I'd better share a running session instead of just keeping it all for me. Really happy with how the layout looks but I have spotted a few bits that need tweaking / cleaning up now I've seen them zoomed-in on screen 😀

Hi Simon - Love the running session and I particularly like that smooth running of the GWR Pannier tank engine. I have a similar one(Dapol) in NCB livery which is very jerky and runs in fits and starts needing the occasional push with the fingers. I have cleaned the track and lightly oiled all the required parts of the engine. Have you had any similar experiences with this engine? However, my larger GWR engines run around the track just fine! Funny you should say that - the Pannier tank ran well at first but as the filming went on it got jerkier and I ended up having to re-take a lot of the shots. I think the worm gear may be jumping out of place on mine. Of course when that's all edited out it looks like a great runner in the video 😀

@@SimonsShed Yes indeed very strange that the same thing has happened to your loco too. If you decide to do something about it I would be interested to know if you have solved it! It is big shame because I find these GW tank engines quite appealing! Cheers Malcolm

Thanks, yes got some Jiffy bags and sticky labels for addresses ready and I'm currently printing fences out so hopefully will get it on sale soon 😀

Wow Simon. That does look amazing. I've visited the real Severn Valley Railway once on my channel. I think your version looks amazing. Good job putting it all together. It took you 7 Years to build? I wouldn't know where to start building layouts like this one. Great video, hope you film the next one sometime. Take care.
