As an 17 year old in Windsor, Ontario, played with Mr Norman once at the behest of local pro. I’d been playing since age 8 and considering a scholarship. Learned a lot in one round and more importantly enjoyed this jovial, constantly verbal man so much that golf became a focal point for my entire life. A fantastic, unforgettable experience. Thank you for posting his. Bobby Panasiuk has recently passed and was the local legend. Many stories.

I’m 70 years old and haven’t picked my driver up for probably for about 20 years. I did spend many years at the range, trying to perfect my inconsistent drives but although I could get great distance I never achieved consistent straightness. I’ve just picked my clubs up again after watching Mo,s videos.. practicing single plane with irons is almost perfect. My drives are becoming more straight and pretty much as far as ever. Wish I’d seen his videos 20 years ago. Thank you mo Norman.....legend.

@@ToddGravesGolf Hi Todd. I’ve been trying Moe’s preswing setup for about 8 months now. Absolutely flushing every shot now, still a little left n right though. My question is, when he set the club head a foot or so behind the ball, is the clubface open or square ? Thanks

Boy you sound like me. Two months ago I played golf with my brother in law. I haven't played in 20 years. I was totally embarrassed and left the course with my tail between my legs. I started watching youtube videos and stumbled over Moe Norman videos put out by Todd Graves. It's been two months now and I'm starting to grasp it. Every day I wake up totally excited to hit another golf ball. Every day is a new revelation. God bless you Moe. I know your looking down on all of us learning your swing and smiling at us. And thanks to Todd for being a great friend to him. I can't help but shed a tear for how he was treated. God bless you Todd.

Excellent video. 2 weeks into my journey for the feeling of greatness. After several days of struggling with the swing I made the breakthrough and have been laughing to myself on the driving range during practice. Seeing the ball fly my normal distances and further while being dead straight with what feels like minimal effort is something that is hard to describe. The feeling of greatness is something to cherish. Thank you Moe. Thank you Todd graves. Cannot wait to continue to practice and hone this special swing.

February 15 2020 I shot a 91 on a 6500 yard course just 30 minutes ago on the same course four months later with the moe Norman swing I shot a 76 it works I’ve been skipping rocks all day

I wish I could remember Trevino's exact words but it went something like this - If Moe had someone to take him under his wing, Moe would have won every tournament in the World. That's pretty darned close to a quote. Tiger said something to the effect that Iron Byron should be renamed after Moe Norman. I could not watch any golfer on the range for very long. I would get bored unless I was trying to learn something from their swing. With Moe, I've already downloaded and watched maybe three dozen of his videos. One of my favorite is the one where he hit like 30 balls onto the green from 70 yards away and all were on the green and most were pretty darned close. Amazing. I can see why Todd Graves devoted his life to learning and teaching his swing. Great job Todd!

This was great! Mark Evershead's comment, about Moe's reason for putting the club in his palm is something I've never heard before. But, WOW 🤯, something clicked for me when he said that!

Todd, that is a cracking film. So heartwarming to hear such comments about a guy who wasn't afraid of looking different to achieve his end goal. I am only at the beginning of my single plane journey after 47 years of doing it the conventional way, but I can honestly say that after watching all the videos that you put out, it seems to be a breath of freas air for my swing consistency.

Todd, great video. It’s amazing how I had an amazing single plane swing I learned before I saw Moe and you and when I went for a lesson for iron ‘s that I wasn’t confident about, two days later when I played.. my driver swing was destroyed, the one I had really mastered, it was gone in a 30 minute iron lesson. I’m getting a little closer to what I had. It’s great to see this style in someone like Moe. I’ll get it back. Keep the Moe videos coming!! Love them.

Just saw a video of him hitting to the green from 70 yards over water. He must have hit at least 30 balls or more. All on the green and almost all of them within 10-12 feet and hitting different types of shots like spinning the ball back to the pin. Amazing. If he was chipping from 15-20 yards that would be excellent. This was amazing. I wonder what pro could do that today? Maybe all on the green, but that close? And he did it fast. The cameraman was asking him to slow down.

Fantastic man. I am fairly new to golf and spending months on the range practicing I felt lost trying to figure out a conventional golf swing. Having lessons confused me even more and I found the more I practiced the worse I got. After discovering the single plane swing and finding todds channel I now have a set position for address and know exactly what needs to be done. I'm not lost anymore and I'm looking forward to playing plenty of golf in the future. Thanks todd and moe 👍🏻

Love this. Moe was a legend. I’m poor at golf but poor in that I don’t hit it miles but I enjoyed my game. I always used a strange grip and swing and was laughed at for it. I didn’t fit the norm just like Moe. I tried lessons but the “normal” swing I was taught just didn’t fit my body and style. We are all different in our body shapes, muscles, ROM etc and should never believe the game is a one swing fits all. Sometimes unorthodox works very well. People just laugh because they don’t see it very often. Thanks for posting 👍🏻

Love Moe 👏👏 Trying his swing after being recommended to look up Moe by an older guy while i was hitting balls on the range near Glasgow a few months ago when he seen me hitting some repetitive decent 5 woods off the Matt . So glad he did. Only started a couple of weeks ago and expect my handicap to plummet now. Still to master it obviously but hitting a lot of different irons and clubs more and more straight the more I try to master it . I am starting to feel like I will play well every time now and last 2 rounds only a couple over par for 9 holes on 2 different courses i play which is an incredible improvement for a 17 handicap. Playing at least as good as when off 9 handicap when I was 19 years old . Only back playing golf seriously after 20 years away from golf and was struggling with wayward shots since I became a member again 3 years ago . Can't wait to see how low I can go as the Moe Norman swing has made a huge difference in such a short time. God Bless Moe Norman. Absolute Genius and could listen to him all day 👏👏👏👏 Thanks x

Being different is something not to be feared but to be embraced you are a lucky man to have learned from him . He picked the right person in yourself to pass on his knowledge and teaching and I am glad the word you are spreading is getting out to the world. Well done 👏👏👏⛳

@@ToddGravesGolf oh and every time I play now . Which is most days at the moment the ball goes straight down the middle more and more. Played today with my cousin and his friend and they couldn't believe how straight I hit the ball now. I've always hit the ball far even as a youngster but quite often in the wrong direction even when playing well. I've always had a great extention and get through the ball very well. Since using the single plane swing yourself and Moe have taught me through watching your KZfaq channel I have to do a Gary player walk through step after bombing my drive down the middle now. Might need to get longer spikes or focus on keeping the right foot planted at impact. It doesn't trouble me tho. I have to walk back to pick up my tee which remains perfectly in the ground like Moe' s did which is unheard of for me and the tee peg is only in the ground a 1/4 inch as I like a high tee with driver. Next time I am in the USA I will come to your academy for some coaching. Thanks again. Looking forward to the movie you guys are doing

Because of Todd Graves and his brother Tim, I think we will start seeing many more golfers using the SPS. I've been playing on a par 3 course that is run by Cameron Champ's non-profit foundation, 100 to 160 yards. I think I'm the only player that uses the SPS. But I think by the summer I will get more people interested in learning the SPS.

The more I learn his swing, the more I can understand the wisdom of why he hit the ball the way he did. Like how he shows his driver swing from 22 inches before the ball through 22 inches after. I don't know if he actually did that but I'm sure he tried. Striking the ball precisely where he needed to strike it with the club head. Amazing!

Thank you for posting this. It took me this video to realize the right hand grip should be in the palm not the fingers(6:51). I have been so focused on the left hand grip when the right has been the problem. Thanks.

This might seem like I am lying But I figured Moe Norman swing out It's the most simple thing in the world And when Moe Norman tells you after hitting hundreds of balls he wasn't tired nor sore in any way My game changed from rubbish to hitting balls with so much ease just step up to the tee and off I go easy

It took me 20,000 balls to figure out the single plane swing of Moe. I used Todd's brochure and I'm watching videos of Moe in KZfaq since at least 10 years. The result is that at 64, playing the game since I was 10, I'm longer and a lot straighter today. I play a lot better and the game is more fun. As simple as that...

@@bobwarner8515 Absolutely. I'm just starting to learn his swing with Todd Graves Golf Academy and I had to do a U Turn and go back to the basics. But my improvement so far has been great. Still a ways to go.

I think the main thing about Moe Norman's swing is that he basically used a three quarter swing on every shot which is what many players will do when they have a yardage where they need to take a few yards off. When you hit this kind of punch shot and abbreviate your finish they definitely go pretty straight because there's not as much extra motion in the swing for things to go wrong. You're also going to hit it a lot shorter.

Hi Todd, I’m a new golfer and thanks to your channel, I’ve eliminated variables and am connecting on my hits at a good percentage. My Irons are pure, but even though I make great contact with my Driver, the ball always takes a hard curve to the right. I’ve watched all of your Driver videos. I’ve tried to mimic your form and Moe’s form for the driver. But, even if I open my stance up and turn my feet a bit to the left, the ball comes a bit more left but still takes a hard curve right during flight. Do you have any tips for hitting a Driver straight with the single-plane method? Any tips for preventing that curving to the right? Thanks!

@@ToddGravesGolf Thanks Todd. I tried multiple angles of tilt as well. Should it be the same tilt as my address for irons? Having rewatched a few more vids on your form and Moe's form, I am thinking it has to be my ball and club face positioning being too similar to my Irons. Will try putting the ball an inch closer to my lead foot and having my club face sit 2-3 inches more towards my back foot at address. Thanks again.

try working on the one one piece takeaway, and when your at the delivery position focus on making the club keep traveling straight through the ball. that seemed to help my slice. my natural swing is much like moe's it makes sense to me, I tried the new pro way of hip rotation and it doesn't work for me.

”Linear golf?” or ”hitting through the golf course?” You could ask 100 current day golfers to answer both questions and you’d be lucky to get 2 correct answers, and if you did, they’d base their answers on their knowledge of Moe Norman, his swing, his ball striking and his ”Feeling of Greatness.”

Moe once disclosed in an interview that he believed in God because how else could he have become the best ball striker ever through self teaching. After watching clip interval 4:03 through 4:06 many many many times (did I mention many?), I sense God playing a melody through Moe's swing. In my opinion, Moe's "melody" is superior, to say, Sam Snead's though Snead's was beautiful. I've committed myself wholeheartedly through Todd's posted videos to Moe's swing, and have no doubt that Moe had achieved the best approach to swinging the golf club (in terms of output per given input) currently known. Maybe God is playing with humankind in that Moe's approach remains comparatively obscure and deemed unconventional, as is the perceived man. Regardless, to taste Moe's "feeling of greatness" you must pursue his melody, which transcends his all-important swing mechanics.
