Here in England, the winter season leaves the country dark at 4 O'clock. On my cycle back from College I'd put on this song and watch everything rapidly settled from dusk to darkness. I honestly can't put to words the emotion that would ache in my stomach. Music is such a gift and it's lovely to see so many people here appreciating it :) I wish you all the best.

I made this back in 2012 when my son still lived with us (he is in the frame at about 15:17). My son moved out it seems like a year ago to make his way in the world, watching this again today I saw him come into frame and I was overcome with emotion. I miss having him around.

I’m a little late in replying, it’s been a crazy year. Since I’ve discovered this song I’ve been married, had and lost our first child. This song is one of the few to help me pause and take stock of things. The video complements the song very well and I hope it stays up for years to come. My sincere thanks, for what it’s worth

This song holds you suspended in a cloud of melancholy and beauty. Like sitting in a sunny field and reminiscing about old days long passed, school friends, lovers, family passed on. But not in a sad way, more of an accepting and appreciative manner. True melancholy.
@North0house12 жыл бұрын
Absolutely breathtaking. It's funny, I can barely handle a 3 minute pop song, but I'll listen to a song that's nearly 25 minutes long like it's only a few seconds, and I'll hit replay. It's a shame that more people don't open up to this side of music, it's so beautiful, deep, and makes you question everything you know, all the while lacking a single utterance of a word. The strings at the end are breathtaking too. Mogwai at their best. More post-rock needs to be like this.

And there I was, under the rain with my blue jacket and my hood on my head looking at the cracks of what once was a big avenue, wondering if humanity in any way would have had a chance to be spared from the destiny it had forged by his own hand, if there was a chance to avoid this view to avoid the memories and the nostalgia of a forgotten future.

It is like even without knowing me personally, they understood my mind and depression, creating a soundtrack for it. I’ve been listening to a lot of bands including Mogwai for years... nearly all of them soothed my mind with their songs during some specific time. But this song, even among so many important songs to me, is really special. It’s like therapy. But I don’t feel ashamed at all. Only calm.

Lets start a movement on KZfaq. All top comments, no matter how satisfying a response to a troll it may be, should be positive reviews about the video. This video is great, to me and other at least. Interpretations only develop from point of view or else I would indulge further into how this song makes me slow down, which to me is amazing because I over analyze everything. I sincerely enjoyed this music, there. I hope this helps the world overcome hate.
