Moist Lemon Sandwich Cake

This delicious cake is chock full of lemon zest and juice as well as buttermilk to give a wonderfully moist texture to the most tasty cake. Sandwiched between the two layers of cake is a rich and silky lemon curd and cream whipped with cream cheese. What could be nicer?

This looks so beautifully moist! I need to try this - I love lemons, but I do have some passionfruit pulp in the freezer, I wonder if it would work well with passionfruit curd as well. Or maybe a lime version, because I always have plenty of those in the house.
