Be careful with a crucible that full. It's very easy to spill. It was not shown but after you pour, put the crucible back in the furnace and allow out to cool naturally. Nice lifting tongs and pouring handle! The graphite is interesting. Make sure to wipe it out from the interior before heating as to not have it included in the melt

No, I didn't put it in the furnace. I left it outside until it cooled down. Next time I will put it in the furnace. I know this detail but forgot about it🤭. Thank for all the advices and for your time !

The dark spots and voids tell me that you didn't use flux,. or the right flux or not enough. Another way to avoid this and the ingot defects is to use a thick steel mold and preheat it until totally hot at the top opening of the kiln for several minutes before the pour.

You are absolutely right, I haven't used flux at all. I think I compromised the melting also because of the very low outside temperature (6 -7 degrees Celsius). And the mold...I tried to heat it but it is too thin and it deforms instantly.I am a begginer who learns from mistakes and from comments like this. Thank you sir

Interesting! Research a proper flux for aluminum. When setting up, break and crush a dark brown bottle. add a couple of teaspoons of crushed glass in the crucible, then add scrap aluminum. The glass will assist the melt flow.

Wow! I did not know that. I love people who give their knowledge to others without any interest. I will use everything I learn in future videos. Thank you very much for your comment !
