Being a motorcyclist for the past 50 years, when I saw what you were building, I thought so much un-sprung weight, so many issues to make that work. But you you did it. Congratulations, Well Done! Keep up the amazing Fab work.
@Cloxxki

I'm a cyclist. I ride mostly 60mm wide 735 mm tall tyres. Once I filled the rear tubes with 3.5 kgs of water and a slight bit of air to get the pressure. Cyclists worry about every gram of rotating weight. It rode fine. Sloshy accelerating and braking. At stable speeds, it was just a bike. This monster is of course another level of rotating weight. With effort, a lot of rubber could be cut and drilled.

Suggestion for you on prepping future tires. Why not build a jig that holds a seven-inch grinder with a flapper disk, and glides in the preferred arc shape of the tire? Have the tire rotating at constant speed, while the grinder reciprocates back and forth on the arc rails (think like a roller-coaster track in a semi-circle the radius of the preferred tire curve). Build the whole arc/grinder setup on a vertical, variable-height, track setup (could use a trailer crank jack to adjust the height until the edges of the tire are at preferred radius). How it would operate: 1) Mount the new tire in the jig and get it up to a slow, constant rotation. 2) Turn on grinder/arc device, which continues to sweep back and forth along the arc track. 3) Use the trailer jack to lower the grinder/arc device a sixteenth (or so) of an inch every time the tire comes out of contact with it. End result should be a nearly uniformly worn, curved tire face. I'm only suggesting such a tire jig be made if you plan on needing to make several more tires for various projects (and, a bonus, you could be doing other things while the jig is in operation, only needing to readjust the cut height periodically throughout the process). Just my humble thoughts.

What a monster! As a hobby welder I love seeing all the custom metalwork in your vids. Seems like you could really send it if you build some crashbars around your legs kind of like the front part that sticks out. That way you can take turns without fear of it tearing your legs off when it inevitably tips. Also might be worth adding a second beefy shock on the rear to keep it planted back there and prevent all that unsprung weight bounce. Can't wait to see what else you guys do to it and how it rides once you get it dialed and get used to it. I'm sure there's a hard learning curve since this has never really been done before

I have been watching GHPC since they first came on to YT. and even though this was a long build. it's not the only long build that these guys have turned out. Colonel Senders took over seventy videos to fabricate and put together. and I watched every one of them, and the last five videos I was chomping at the bit to see it get finished. and when it was finished it was almost as satisfying for me as it was for Ethan. and it turned out so much better than anyone could have expected. and even though I knew it was going to turn out AWESOME it still blew me away. and I said it back then that it was the best build on YT. and that it would be a long time before it's supremacy would be challenged and that still rings true. no one on YT has built any that can match Colonel Senders. inside or outside it's category which are Powerwheels build's. and for anyone that has watched GHPC for any length of time? they will know that these guys have built some really killer projects. but Colonel Senders and this project are masterpieces that are above all rest. and when Ethan's completely finished with this project. he will start on another project even wilder than this one.

I know this comments a little late but wetting the blade helps cut the rubber quicker, use plenty water, keeps the rubber cool and the blade slippy 👍🏻👍🏻

Nice build guys. You're fortunate to have all those handy tools to machine nearly everything you desire. Always dreamed of having a shop like this. The drone coverage is top choice!! The bike flipping upside down is concerning for your safety bro. With the front arm being out to the side, chain, sprocket, etc, I wonder if it's left-side heavy. Maybe rounding off the tires lost some of that stability with turning, but it's just a guess. The Mitsubishi, looking like a Suzuki Multicab here in the Philippines, with 6 wheels, is awesome! Guys here run the 4x4 660cc 3 bangers through the woods and get stuck. Yours is pretty trick with the intermediate wheels. Love it. Nice channel guys and cool monster chopper!

Can't believe this worked out in the end. It's so cool. I wonder if 2-wheel steering would make it more rideable, with gear reduction steering so a twitch of the handlebars wouldn't make it lose control. Obvs a drivechain would make that difficult so if there was an in-hub electric motor at one or both ends that would work I think...

13:30 Maneuverability can be improved by tilting the steering axis back 20-30 deg toward the rear. Right now, the rider leaning is doing a lot of work to turn the bike, but that can be made easier. Tilting would also improve low speed turning dramatically, likely preventing tipping over. Check out other bikes front steering axis to see what I mean. I'm a Mechanical Engineer.

It's really great to see true artists doing their work in a remote shed somewhere this way. I bet it's pretty stable due to that center of sprung mass being around wheel hub height. And the wheels are probably a third of that weight.
