On HMS Sheffield and HMS Coventry after both ships had been hit by Argentinian Exocet missiles and Bombs during the Falklands war. The ships had many dead and injured on them. RIP. Very doubtful! It was brutally cold the day they filmed that and everyone was pretty miserable. I can't remember who it is - but notice the only guy dressed in black? One of the Pythons refused to take it off after a short break in filming . . . 🤨

Russia got involved because Germany attacked, same for the US and Japan. They did not intervene at all, they fought their own war, on the eastern front and the pacific theatre. Truly, the Russians defeated Germany, not the US, which had the least impact on the war in Europe, the Brits did much more than them. Mind you, Japan was terrified of the Soviet and Communist advances in China, so they surrendered to the Western forces.
