Loved this video, Del and Penny. It was certainly very eye opening for me! What a great instructional narrative you gave us. Hope you’re feeling better every day, Mate! Talked to a local (older, 67) friend by phone yesterday who had his heart attack back in October. He had only one stent inserted. Did a bit of cardiac rehab and of course THE meds. I think he changed some lifestyle things like diet. Message was: he’s doing great and now thoughtful about what he does everyday. Sending hugs from both of us to both of you. Keep this great reloads coming! 🏍👍🏍

Hey Gary, that's an encouraging story and it does help to know that others have been in the same position and got past it, and yes, the meds... oddly difficult to get used to, make you feel a bit weird, but I guess it's a host of chemicals coursing round your system that you're not used to... but hopefully they're all doing their job and helping me mend the Arc Reactor! @@Moonfleet41 in the 80s I was working on a huge construction project building a power station 3hrs inland from the Queenland coast, in winter it got down to minus 5 or more, couldn't believe it, but it is a huge country. 👍

hi Great Vid, new to factory headers with CAT as just bought a 2014 Streetglide after having a 1985 FXR with a thunder header. Thought of doing the drill bit down the pipe , but this way looks neater and easier. Just a question, some people talk of o2 sensors now "cross talking" as a result of the CAT removal. Is that a thing or a worry?

I did that recently on my Micra a lot louder and faster but the check engine light is constantly on. Is that then running lean then Del ? Love the extra commentary. Thinking about buying a Harley now instead of a wing. Hope you are well Del

Hi Del, I noticed you recommend high temp silicon sealant for exhausts and not assembly paste. I'm fitting a new system to my Road King and want to seal the cross-over and mufflers. What sealant would you recommend? Thanks in advance

It's all about the gap between the two fitting pipes at the joint Sean.. most of the time, motorcycle exhausts fit very close and tight, and often need no sealant at all (think of the spring held slip on silencers)... i would only use an exhaust paste if the joint was particularly sloppy and loose, or if using silicone fails to seal it.. Hope that helps, and good luck..

How ironic is it that you have to wear a respirator when removing something that is supposed to keep the air clean! Common sense says don't breath in that dust... So you gotta think that as that catalyst breaks down over time and ends up in the air, is it REALLY good for the air we breath? I don't think so...Nice job, Del

What SS wire do you use in your mig Del? My migs run pretty well any solid steel wire, but they're a bit fussy about what fluxcore i use. I've got a bit of SS to do sometime and wouldn't mind a recommendation on wire. The welding pages im on can be a little self important ego dribbly so i like to watch and learn rather than get involved!

- i realise its not fluxcore SS, just wondering if my high highfalutin Finnish machines will be as fussy with the shiny stuff as they are with the smoky stuff!

I don't overthink it mate, I just use regular 0.8mm Stainless wire with shield gas, works fine!

That’s something new I didn’t know in exhaust system… on motorcycles?? Thus, I never thought bout it. Kwel video!! Wouldn’t be surprised if later added oxygen sensor ( or already have), saw some new models has computer (ecm or pcm) which requires scanners. Nice reloads!! Kwel!!

That particular setup actually has two pre-catalytic converter 02 sensors.

Try Amzoil fully synthetic Primary fluid, and Amzoil Transmission oil, i switched to them on my TC88 Dyna wide glide and it was a transformation.. smoother, quieter, and easier to start.. Hope that helps.

@@JoseSantos-hl9cm My Dyna was year 2000 with Carburetor, not fuel injection... so nothing to remap, i had an S&S SuperE carb, worked perfectly..

The irony is that now in Seattle the homeless are cutting out converters to sell them for drug money. It’s not worth much? In one night a junkie got $100 worth from cutting them off cars and vans. Sad that they are resorting to that.

Damn sad indeed Jason, sad on every level, for the homeless and the car owner.. if it was my car, id rather give them the damn money, the cost of repair is way more than they get for the scrap...so somebody is profiting...and it ain't the poor bastard with nowhere to live and a habit to feed.! choking off the drug dealers would be a start..
