My wish is that Moonpaw is spoiled, proud, and rude and is a horrible friend and is bratty. It would be great to see cats suck up to her, and other cats despise her to her "specialness". I would also love for her to become an antagonist

Though I think that the authors definitely could've worded that article better and chose the parents better (even though unless her father was stormcloud or wafflepaw or her parents were nightheart and sunbeam she would've been inbred anyway), I don't see any inherent problem with her being a chimera a huge percentage of the population are chimeras albeit a different type

I feel like Cloudstar will definitely be a part of this! In his short book, Maybe even the voice, trying to make a change before the others end up like his clan. It’s similar to the story. His clan got destroyed from damages of Two-legs, and nobody believes her at all, nor changes something, as they are done with apprentices that have a lot of mindset to being special, and a cat from a clan such as some random Windclan cat, like Crowfeather, who is a ton more wise, and also OLD, like the title of this Ark. Moonpaw ends up going on a quest with a bunch of elders, in the same concept as Sandstorm and Alderpaw. Moonpaw rebels, and acts like an apprentice. Yes, traveling- but Elders are so fun to explore more! It’s like angst, but old cats. A concept, Sunbeam and Nightheart have a kit, and don’t want moon, and give her to her parents?? But, Cloudstar is very important, as it is the same plot, and I feel like Frostpaw will help Moonpaw, and probably even could be a protagonist, wanting Moonpaw to not “Ruin her life” like she did, and to simply stay out of it. A unintentional protagonist, but still affecting, keeping the cycle of abuse as a point of concern and drama. Moonpaw might end up being snarky and reluctant fully, immature.

14:49 one case of someone being a chimera and not even knowing it that I was first educated about chimeras on was a case where this one lady had to get a dna test with the kids she gave birth to for some reason They didn’t match her dna and there was a bunch of legal trouble because of it and then she found out(after lots of dna tests) one of her ovaries was her ‘sister’ and that the other was her dna, it was a really interesting documentary! Anyways I think only one of her kids was from her ovary the other two were from the other ovary that had the other zygotes dna.

I know somebody is was inbred, and I would just like to remind people that THEY DID NOT CHOOSE THIS. It is typically their parent's stupid decisions, and sometimes it is purely accidental, or not consensual for an inbred person to be conceived. She was often subjected to bullying and such due to the origins of her birth and stuff. She felt ashamed for it, even though she had zero control over it. It was really heartbreaking because she is active in the fandom. The other day she called me crying because of some of the things people were saying about moonpaw. It's not okay, it doesn't matter if it's a fictional character. It's bigoted and gross, and people honestly need to THINK with their minds. ALSIO the ableism that came alongside this was insane. WHY ARE PEOPLE SO COMFORTABLE WITH SAYING THIS CRAP?

Moonpaw! I've already fallen in love with this character. Here's my idea for the special gal: Moonpaw is the daughter of Bayshine, though nobody knows who her mother is. Some speculate that, despite the rule changes, Bayshine had a half clan relationship and the she-cat entrusted Bayshine with their only daughter. Moonpaw was named after her unique facial pattern that looked like a crescent moon (like in canon). Moonpaw is a bit spoiled, as her father and great grandmother (Cinderheart) treated her like she was the most special cat in the clans. She loved all the attention, but starting when she became a Warrior apprentice her thoughts started to become darker. Flashes of her killing certain clanmates haunted her, just like her great Grandfather Lionblaze. She goes to the Moonpool for advice from Starclan, but something else gets her attention. The Moonpool looks...a bit weird. Her reflection seemingly moving on its own. Although as she looks deeply into the Moonpool to figure it out, it starts talking to her. Using her reflection no less. It tells her it can help with her intrusive thoughts and unwanted visions. So. Moon after moon, even when the water is being poisoned and the Moonpool gets weaker, Moonpaw still visits. Still goes out of her way to talk to the Moonpool. Going to the Moonpool is the only thing that helps her mental health, even if it's unhealthy. Eventually, the Moonpool asks Moonpaw a favor. Moonpaw needs to consume the water of the Moonpool in order to save it.

I think the voice is Skystar, I dont think we have seen them in Starclan and maybe hes a liitle nuts and thats why the voice is described as sinister!

I really enjoyed your video on the topic! I do think the idea of Moonpaw being intersex and a fusion chimera is a great design choice, but also approaching it in a careful manner. I think Warrior cat topics turning controversial due to fan discussion is a common thing, but should still be discussed of carefully.

i'm actually theorizing that the voice could be related to the fact that moonpaw could be an actual conjoined twin. mostly because the hunter team has no idea how genes work, with her heterochromia and half-mask pattern on her head.

I see some people saying that they wanted Moonpaw to be a villain. But I believe that with people *already* thinking and headcanoning that Moonpaw has dissociative identity disorder.. that is a horrible and god awful idea. Writing a 'villain' who is more than one person can very quickly stigmatize dissociative disorders. Whether they're written to actually have the disorder or not.

Thank you for informing people and I love the intersex moonpaw headcanon and i am stealing it and you can pry it from my cold dead hands. I love this lil creature! They/She is my thoughts! (I love when I can reasonably headcanon a cat with They Pronouns. Don't get me started on my He/They Crowfeather and She/They/He Ivypool) I hope we get more things cleared up and hopefully the incest thing gets changed? I already felt weird with Ivypool and Fernsong(their relationship is rather sweet though) and this is... a little rough. I have a friend who likes warrior cats and who lives in Alabama they have a bit of trauma with that and generally don't look at the family tree but since the discussion of Moonpaw is EVERYWHERE right now it's making them uncomfortable :( They do like Moonpaw a lot and I do too! Funky lil silly. And since I headcanon Dovewing with heterochromia(she has blue/green imo) I can imagine them being heterochromia buddies! Thank you also for pointing out the idea of the voice hopefully not being just some other part of herself. I have DID and with all due respect... I love the idea of chimeraism, and what they said in the article was so wrong it saddened me, she can still be a chimera but I'd like the actuall right information and not to feed into the myths and crap, I sometimes wanna see images of actual chimeras but i just get split faced cats, in who some may be chimeras but most just aren't. One thing I like is green and yellow eyes usually heterochromia in cats is caused by white spotting the same thing that causes white patches but in the eye making the eye blue so any other eyecolour + blue white spotting eye. Chimeras doesn't have to even be visible but I'm going to make it visible in my designs to try and show what chimeraism can actually make cats look like. I'd like to remove the half half face, but its important to hers so. With that being said heres some of my headcannon ideas: 1. her ginger fur is actually a dilute form of the red cats like rowanclaw, squirrelflight and russetfur are sometimes depicted with. (not that this is an actual fur colour but like this colour doesn't exist anyway irl so we are already disregarding logic) 2. She actually has two types of black fur one the kind that just looks black and 2 the kind that looks a deep red in some light. (my least favourite ngl, due to the orange being depicted so light) 3. While her parents do mean she is meant to be a tortie she actually fused with her brother who has dilute orange, and is the cause of her lighter orange markings and is why they aren't truly white. (absolutely ridiculus but its not exactly impossible) 4. She has patches of shorter fur hidden in from the sibling she fused with, these do not usually show as its covered by the longer fur but sometimes, you can see patches of shorter fur from her fused sibling. (chimera cats are fully able to have multiple fur lenghts not just colours!) 5. she has more of one colour one being due to fusing with a brother of that colour. (while this isn't really what happens all the time, a half and half of colours is very very rare, its fun to think off) Also the intersex idea hit me tho i've not heard of it before and and I'm all for it now so shes fused with her brother in my head lol.

The thing is she might not be a chimera. A common misconception about chimeras is that if a cat has a half black face and half ginger face it’s a chimera, but this is imply a patter that calicos and tortoiseshells can have without being chimeras. Chimeras often show through two colours that normally shouldn’t go together or two different fur lengths.

You know who would've made a great dad for Moonpaw? Stormcloud! He was born outside the clans and hasn't taken a mate. As for the mom, Finchlight hasn't had kits, and is also a tortie. She's also the granddaughter of the current leader and the previous leader, and the great-granddaughter to the leader before that. Edit: As a side note, they were smart about ensuring Moonpaw appeared as a chimera. Chimeras don't have to be of 2 different biological sexes. It's also possible for the apparent parts to be solely comprised of one part of the chimera. But her eyes are yellow and green, when non-chimeric heterochromia would cause one to be blue.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it a little weird when they draw moonpaw with two heads? It might even be an interesting AU but I still think it's "weird" (I didn't find any better word to describe it), because it's like draw JayFeather as deaf instead of blind, It's two diferent things *(I'm not trying to offend anyone, I just don't think it makes much sense do moonpaw like two heads)*

I have an au that MoonPaws voice in her head are her own insecurities crashing onto her as she tries to be better and more successful in her clan, and her so called “ connection to StarClan “ is making her seem special and more useful by other cats, causing them to pressure her more and adding to the weight. Eventually MoonPaw struggles so much with the burden it fails and she has a mental breakdown. As the voice becomes even more sinister, as it says, she eventually figures something is trying to reach her and bare her to following in this mysterious voices tracks. The pressure had caused her towards insanity, and one day out of pure hatred she could either kill a cat or damage the Moonpool.
